Royal Seven Stars Hotel

The room is great with an excellent bathroom! However the stuff is a bit unfriendly and the check in time is 3:00 strict !

I am a frequent returning guest. The hotel is situated at bottom end of Totnes main street. It is a busy hotel and bar, serving food. The building is old with one central staircase leading to rooms. All the rooms I have occupied are very clean, decorated in a tasteful way and the beds are comfortable.. Teas are good quality Tea Pigs a small coffee machine is also provided, plus a bottle of water. I am a coeliac and vegetarian. Eating in other hotels is almost impossible,they simply do not cater for my dietary requirements,thankfully I am guaranteed a delicious breakfast here. One of the most important reasons for returning here is the customer service. The staff here are really approachable and friendly. Any issue you may have regarding your stay, they will do their best to help you resolve. T have stayed in other hotels etc if there aren't any vacancies here but from my experience if you like a relaxed friendly environment, lovely rooms, location Totnes as a base, then this is the place to come . It is also a short walk away from the most beautiful cinema I've ever been in, which is tucked away, along the main high street, My only wish is that more free parking was available . The hotel offers capacity for approx 6 cars at the rear of the hotel. There is plenty of paid parking in main street and nearby Morrisons.

Staff were amazing Arrived at 2am due to cancellation of train. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. They even allowed a late checkout considering I was only staying 1 night. Nothing was too much to ask. They see to enjoy the job and were eager to do over and above. Rooms are old but very clean. The restaurant food was excellent. Great location next to bespoke shops and few minutes walk from freedom hub. Will highly recommend 👌

A characterful 17th century coaching inn with luxurious bedrooms. The staff were all delightful and very helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel's position, being right in the centre of town, and close to the railway station, was perfect.

We wanted a 3 night break in South Devon and after looking at the exorbitant rates for similar hotels in popular resorts nearby,we selected this rather traditional hotel in Totnes and we were not disappointed. All the staff in the bar,restaurant and reception were unfailingly friendly and helpful,for example,we arrived late Sunday afternoon, booked in and reserved a table in the restaurant for dinner and told the receptionist we were looking forward to the roast.We had just reached our room when the receptionist rang to say that the roasts were going fast and asked us if we wanted him to reserve these for us!The food quality was good.The breakfast buffet did not provide as much choice as other hotels but this was more than compensated for by an excellent range of cooked breakfasts, all cooked to order.The bar had a good selection of real ales The rooms were spotlessly clean,beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet although being an old building,some of the furnishings were a little old. The hotel is located at the end of the main shopping street which contains lots of intersting local shops.The hotel has a small car park,so when full, you can park overnight in the nearby Morrisons car park, payable by App.Alternatively there is a long stay car park in North Street (behind the high street)where you can park overnight without charge.

Lovely staff, great service, and above and beyond our needs. Good breakfast and comfy bed. We stayed in one of the premium suits and had a relaxing jacuzzi bath. We had an event in their ballroom and the service here was exceptional - we would stay again!

Wonderful centrally located hotel in the centre of town. Parking available on site ( nice ) We ate dinner at the hotel and it was really good Breakfast was also very nice. I have to make this review up to 200 characters.....fffffffffjfjduwiwjenejeiekejejejejejekejjejrj

The staff were very welcoming room was perfect had a great nights sleep after a lovely evening meal couldn't fault It hope to return soon with a longer stay. Sadly didn't get a chance to do quite as much as we had hoped maybe on our next visit cant wait !!

Staying here in room 3 from 23rd to 25th Sept. Have to say i am really enjoying this Hotel. The staff are all really kind and give a welcoming feel to the experience. The food was really nice but these days food is never cheap but it is was quality and well presented. The room is ideal ,well equiped with a powerfull and efficient shower. The bed is too comfortable!!!.. very very difficult to unsnuggle yourself from the comfort. Coffee and water in room generously provided. Room cleaning was to a very high standard. I definately would return and hope this friendly,characterfull hotel keeps up its high standards
