We had a fantastic experience! The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. The room was spotless, comfortable, and nicely decorated — a perfect place to relax. Breakfast was truly five-star — delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Be sure to try the stover roll — it’s an absolute must!

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by lovely Steve and Estelle, the room was immaculate and wow the little gifts inside (cake) was amazing! The breakfast was great set in a lovely contemporary dining room, with great choices and impeccable service! It’s walking distance to the beach, town and harbour, which boasts something for everyone! On returning back from our day out we came back and the room had been cleaned beds made and yet more cake! It was absolutely incredible and I have to say certainly the best B&B I have stayed in!!! Even some 5 stars hotels haven’t beat this service! We will back!!! Steve and Estelle you are amazing hosts :-)

Steve and Estelle couldn't have made us more welcome...nothing was too much trouble. Our room was large, airy, pristine with a comfortable king sized bed, two comfy armchairs, t.v. and a modern, equally pristine ensuite. A lovely touch was two cakes waiting for us at the end of the day to have with a cup of tea. Steve is a professional chef so breakfast was delicious and faultless. Torre train station is nearby as are the buses, for travelling further afield, which is a bonus. However, once in our bedroom we didn't hear any noise from traffic at all. Thank you both for a delightful stay at Stover Lodge. ...much appreciated!

We had the absolute pleasure of staying with Estelle & Steve for 5 nights, and I can honestly say they are the greatest hosts we’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble — I have mobility issues, and not once did I feel like anything was an inconvenience. Steve even went as far as helping me load my mobility scooter into the car — that’s the level of care and kindness they showed throughout our stay. Our ground floor room was beautiful: clean, fresh, with lovely bedding and the fluffiest towels. In fact, the entire place is spotless and clearly cared for with pride. It genuinely felt like a home away from home. Now, the breakfast… OMG! I’ll attach a photo, but honestly, I challenge anyone to eat it the second it arrives — it comes out piping hot and freshly cooked to order. Steve is a master in the kitchen, and nothing was ever too much trouble. I’ll be honest — B&Bs were never my first choice of accommodation, but that’s completely changed now. Thanks to this experience, we’re already planning our next visit to see Estelle & Steve again very soon. Huge thanks to Estelle, Steve & Taylor for such a wonderful week in the beautiful English Riviera!

Estelle and Steve were fantastic hosts—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The room was spotless, stylish, and comfy, with lovely touches throughout. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and perfectly cooked. Quiet location, close to everything. Highly recommend!

Just got back from 5 nights. Been to Stover Lodge now for the past 4 years and was surprised to find new owners Steve and Estelle but they were great hosts, breakfast is just incredible, and the freshly baked treat left in the room daily is a bonus, Steve's shortbread is to die for, he even sent us on our way with some to eat on the way home. We would definitely recommend Stover and looking forward to go back soon. Probably the best hotel in Torquay

Thank you Estelle and Steve for a lovely stay. You are friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble, giving us fresh milk for our morning brew, letting me meet your friendly pooch. Steve thank you for offering to take us to Newton abbot for our train home Your rooms are beautiful decorated and spotlessly clean and very comfortable Breakfast was enjoyable Your hotel is well situated for Torre station and good bus service I can highly recommend Stover Lodge but might regret that if have no availability for us next year

We arrived on a Saturday evening for a two night stay, was welcomed by estelle and Steve, they were very welcome, the room we very nice with complimentary biscuits/cakes and furnished to a very high standard. The breakfast was very good and the food was very nice. Overall was a very nice stay and we will definitely be returning

Perfekte Lage, die Zimmer sind gemütlich und sehr sauber. Von den freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Gastgebern wird man verwöhnt und lassen keine Wünsche übrig. Toller Aufenthalt und gerne wieder......kann man auf alle Fälle weiterempfehlen
