We were made so welcome by Jane and Sergio the breakfast was one of the best we have eaten room so comfortable and clean so central to Beach Abby Buses train and boat trips will be back again

What a lovely place to stay! Lovely room, super comfy bed, very clean. Had everything I needed. Great location; 20min amble from town, along the prom and round the harbour. 5ish mins to Torre train station. Lots of local sights/interests. Everything within easy walking distance. Jane and Sergio make a great team, such a lovely couple...a cracking breakfast I must say, and nothing is too much trouble. The perfect weekend escape for me. I definitely want to stay here again, I just need to organise some more time off!

A family of 3 generations, we had a wonderful stay. 4 rooms in total and all were clean, comfortable, warm and welcoming. Jane and Sergio were fantastic hosts and we would have no hesitation in recommending Buckingham Lodge Guest House to all. Nothing was too much trouble and the fantastic breakfast set us up for the day. Thank you both for your hospitality, we hope to see you again soon, Clare, Lin, Owen, Cara, Andy, Kyly & Amber.

Buckingham lodge was a fantastic stay also Jane and Sergio can’t do enough for you. The room was great so was the bed the breakfast was fabulous with lots to choose from I would recommend Buckingham Lodge to anyone Linda and Barry from New Zealand

We were two couples staying for 4 nights aug 24. The host Jane and Sergio are perfect host, friendly helpful and pleasant. The rooms large, beds are good, all very clean and fresh. Breakfast was awesome! Location perfect and central. We would choose this lodge 10 of 10 times if visiting Torque again.

We stayed at Buckingham Lodge for a weekend break,Jane was a fantastic host , the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome, it was like visiting a family. Everything was excellent during our stay, the location was very close to all the local amenities and to the seafront, room was super clean with a beautiful view and comfortable bed. The breakfast was outstanding, a good selection of healthy and cooked breakfast, my favourite was granola with greek yogurt, and , we had a wonderful experience during our stay, thank you Jane for looking after us. We will highly recommend Buckingham Lodge to all our friends and family, we will definitely come back and stay again.

We visited Buckingham Lodge for 4 nights over the May bank holiday . Jane was the perfect hostess from the start of our booking up until the end of our stay. Our rooms were immaculate, well kept and very clean with en-suite facilities. Our beds were very comfortable, fresh towels were provided and daily housekeeping available if needed. We loved the little touches in our rooms and around the lodge. Jane went above and beyond throughout our stay from serving us the most amazing breakfast every morning to offering advice on the local area to visit. The breakfast was a wide selection to choose from, and set us up for the day. We particularly enjoyed the full English and Buckingham muff ! It was a great base to go out and explore the picturesque Torquay seafront which we enjoyed a short walk to every day and for dinner in the evening, and for going out to explore further afield in the car. High quality facilities and service provided by Jane and Sergio, their lodge is a hidden treasure and one we highly recommend and intend to revisit later on in the year.

My wife and I enjoyed another stay with Jane and Sergio. Over the years we have stayed here we have become firm friends. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. Breakfast choice is very good from the healthy yogurt and nuts type of thing which my wife chooses, to a full fry up, my idea of breakfast, cooked by Sergio which is plentiful and excellently prepared. I can't think of a nicer place to stay.

My parents booked a hotel stay via. ******* and without going into too much detail it was clear from the review that it wasn't going to be a good experience (with guests calling it 'not a hotel') We contacted Jane as a back up option in case the hotel they had booked was as bad as the reviews suggested (it was) and she was amazing - she held the room for my parents without requesting payment and gave them flexibility on what day they arrived. She was on the other end of the phone the whole time during what could have been an otherwise tough situation. She gave them a later breakfast the next day and made sure they were comfortable the day they arrived. They had a lovely stay - comfortable room, great breakfast and Jane was the perfect host. Thanks so much again Jane - lifesaver!
