What can I say about The Charterhouse. My husband and I have been coming here for over 10 years, so it must be excellent. The owners Lisa and Christophe are a lovely couple and there is nothing they will not do for you. We always have Room 3 which is next to the lounge and the terrace. The breakfasts are cooked by Christophe and delivered to your table by Lisa who always has a smile and ready for a little chat. They have a lovely pool with new decking and loungers. You are minutes away from the main road where the buses will take you into Torquay or Paignton and beyond. Across the road is a lovely beach to take the children to. Have already booked for next year. Come and see what you are missing you will not regret it.

We have come here seven or eight times now and always love it. The beds are comfortable; the rooms are spacious and the breakfasts are delicious. The house is located on the edge of Cockington Village, which is a beautiful peaceful place filled with thatched cottages, a beautiful country park with lakes, an arts centre and glass blowers, and a nice cafe, and a great pub, The Drum Inn, that serves great food. If you walk in the opposite direction you can go into Torquay and enjoy the beaches and shops. Back at the house, the spacious lounge, lovely gardens and peaceful terraces are great places to relax in.

Fantastc place to stay..beautiful rooms and grounds and short stroll to beach and into Torquay town..absolutely brilliant hosts who cant do enough for you and breakfasts to die for..love it

This is the best Bed and Breakfast in Torquay. We have been visiting The Charterhouse for the last 5 years. It is a fabulous establishment and Lisa and Christophe are wonderful hosts- nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is quality and cooked to perfection whatever your choice. The rooms are comfortable and exceptionally clean. The house itself is situated in a beautiful area of Torquay and close to so many areas that you would like to visit. Once you’ve parked the car there really is no need to use it again transport is so accessible. Thank you so much for another lovely visit.

The location is beautiful, peaceful, and very convenient for the town and the all of Tor bay and the hills behind. Parking is easy. The rooms are elegant and comfortable, and our view was picture perfect. One or more of the garden terraces and pool catch the sun at any time of day and into the evening, The cooking is first class, and the owners are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We can't fault the Charterhouse, and we will be back.

My Friend and I with my ShihTzu. Muffin. Stayed in the family room by the pool A great Breakfast cooked by Christophe Lisa his wife made us feel like family, Room. Very clean , fridge in room milk and water fresh each day . The pool area is fantastic re furbished from the year before Beautiful , as we stay every year . I wish I could show a video The gardens are so lush , relaxing we stayed a week but wanted to stay longer Well done Lisa &. Christophe Ready to book again next year Thank you for a Brilliant stay Rose Dot & Muffin xxx

Such a lovely stay. Clean, tidy and welcoming. Nice well kept gardens. Nice swimming pool. Lovely area. Close enough to walk into Torquay but far enough out to be away from busy Torquay. Breakfasts are amazing. So tasty and varied and accomodating. Lisa and Christophe are helpful and friendly.
