This was the first time in years that I had been to a cosy guest house, The Grosvenor, in Torquay as I normally stay in bigger hotels out of habit rather than for any other reason. I was therefore amazed at what a wonderful welcome I received with also such useful attention to detail from Paula and Ray. I feel that the personal touch from these owners is very special as their dedication to helping the guests shone through. It felt like home from home! The staff I came across were also welcoming and helpful. My room was tastefully decorated and had everything I needed. The establishment is handy for the town and is on two bus routes if you don’t want to walk down to the seafront. The buses go to the town and harbour as well as places like Teignmouth. Paula produces amazing copious breakfasts and is a mine of information about Torquay attractions. I would definitely return to stay there!

Third visit to Grosvenor House, a warm welcome from Paula and Ray. I cannot recommend the place more highly. Nice clean airy rooms, with complimentary tea & coffee, replaced every day. Good breakfast served with a smile. Handy carpark in front of B&B, but no need to use your car, Torquay station close by, and bus stop just up the road for a trip to Babbacombe, or down on the front for the bus to Paignton or Brixham. A short stroll down the road from the B&b through the grounds of Tore Abbey takes you to the sea front.

Excellent situation next to a bus stop which goes into centre of torquay. Rooms were spotless and breakfast delicious. Fresh fruit every day as well as cereals and great choice for cooked breakfast. Paula and Ray were wonderful hosts and were a mine of useful information. Can't wait to come back

We had a lovely stay the beds were comfortable, the room was decorated lovely. We had a twin room which can also be a double which had views to the front of the property and side. The room was perfect for my mum and me There is a carpark attached to the property and if this is full, there is parking on the road adjacent to the Guest House. The breakfast was lovely loads to chose from. Paula and Ray were lovely hosts to us and made us feel very welcome We will definitely be back to the property that's for sure. Beats some of the places we've stayed in before. Definitely would recommend to everyone whether a business trip or leisure trip

Our second visit (to work at the Riviera Centre for the weekend) and we shall be back next year for this annual event. Glad we have found such a comfortable and friendly guest house, very reasonable rates and great service. The room was comfortable and clean, with all the amenities required (equivalent to a good hotel stay). Thanks.

Warm friendly welcome to a beautiful clean spacious room, excellent breakfast, our hosts could not have done more to make our stay better.

Grosvenor House Stay September 2023
We stayed at Grosvenor House for a couple of nights. The property is well kept and maintained. Only one thing I would say is we missed air-conditioning during the hot weather. Parking slots are very tight and if you have a new car and worry about someone banging their doors into your car body, be prepared to park somewhere else!
