Old Mill Toronto Hotel

This is a really cute hotel in a more residential neighborhood. The building itself is very well designed and decorated. It holds historic value and can be rented for parties and weddings. There is no restaurant on site except for the bar and room service. If you walk about 20 minutes you will be able to find food. We had the room service breakfast which was honestly mediocre and not worth the price, but at the same time it was nice to eat breakfast in bed. They upgraded our room which was also a pleasant surprise and were able to give us a late check out and hod our bags until 5 pm.

I was initially apprehensive about staying in an "old" hotel, but my worries came to rest. It was similar to a cottage theme with very clean rooms and adequate amentities. Staff were always very friendly, greeting us everytime we leave and return to the hotel, and responds promptly to our housekeeping requests. 10 minutes from the hotel, there is a park with a calming stream, a great place to rest and rewind from the busy city life. Nearest train station is just 5 minutes walk away, and a 30-45 minutes car ride to downtown. Some downsides though, there are no nearby restaurants besides the one in the hotel, and no nearby supermarkets. Utensils were not provided in the room so be prepared to bring your own set. Hotel lifts seem a bit worn out but had not broken down during my stay. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay given the calm surrounding vibes and amazing service. I would consider returning in the future

Stayed for a wedding and it was Perfect

We booked this because our wedding reception was at this venue. The room itself was quite musty when we first opened the door. Everything is a bit old.

Amazing property very close to the Old Mill subway (so easy access to downtown) and a short walk to the lovely Blood West Village, which I thought was one of the nicest neighborhood commercial areas in Toronto. So lots of food choices very close by. The Humber River walk is just down the hill and feels like you aren't in the city. In addition, the beds were comfortable (very important1), not too soft (soft beds hurt my back) and the pillows were not super fat either. So it was a good night's sleep in addition to giving the feeling that you're in the country. A great choice in Toronto.

Nice place but room is very outdated.

We came excited to be there and were so enamoured by the beauty of this wonderful location. Our room though, was another story. At first, the dustiness of the washroom area was easily dismissable... but then our hot tub was continuously malfunctioning and shutting off. The teeny fridge in our room was not sufficient to hold food at a safe temperature. My expensive leftover food from the restaurant went bad overnight. The management neglected our requests to rectify our experience for the majority of our two night stay. When they finally offered us a free breakfast, we were already checking out and it was too late. All they did was remove the $35 hospitality fee. The manager did not even attempt to apologize to me personally. I was very disappointed because our room was so expensive and yet my stay was stressful. They need to prioritize guest experience recovery and stop trying to avoid giving a little back for inconvenience. An important clarification is that the front desk and maintenance workers were very kind and tried to be helpful, however they were unable to accomodate our inconvenience without management approval.

Lovely stay as always. Walked around on surrounding paths a bit. Room are so comfortable and spacious.
