Hotels near Dan Iannuzzi Park, Toronto

The Novotel Toronto North York was good for a place to sleep in a convenient location to good stores and the subway, but I would only stay here if I needed a place to crash in North York. Check in was very quick and the service was good. Amenities and hotel decor seemed a bit dated though. There were strands of the previous guest hair in a corner of the bathroom that did not seem to be cleaned well enough and then the night of my shower, the drainage was a little bit slow. The water pressure on the 15th floor for my room also seemed to be a little low. TV channels for the cable service were also lacking signal at random points throughout the broadcast. At least the channels broadcasting PBS and the Olympics were still flawless, so that was a plus.

The location is 1 minute away from lobslaws and the metro station. The owner of the house is very responsive and detailed with the check in and check out. The only critique is the shared bathroom arrangement, which hygiene is pretty poor and the room is a bit dusty as well.

High cost performance, many hotels now cost over 1,000 yuan, very new hotel, use navigation to the parking lot, otherwise the map provided by Ctrip is not easy to find the front desk, there is a good Chinese buffet nearby, cheap lunch, free drinks below **. Recommended, close to the airport, there is a bus to the airport.

While the free airport shuttle was a convenient start, our experience at check-in was disappointing. I had specifically booked a room with double beds, yet upon arrival, we were told none were available. For our first night in Canada, it was a letdown to find that the three of us would have to share a single queen bed. This wasn’t the warm welcome we expected, truly frustrating.

Things in the room were good, except a reading light went out which was soon fixed by the repaired man. In general the hotel staff were friendly and polite. Suggest to have a desktop light on the desk adjacent to the TV set. A very good shuttle bus service to and from the airport was provided.

Such a beautiful spacious room with a view. Lovely service from Denise on the reception. Sadly there were no facilities available to use apart from a very basic gym on a shabby floor and this floor seemed very smoky but the rest of the stay was lovely. Take a walk around the picturesque grounds.

I was very impressed with this hotel since I used to stay at the hotel when it was the Intercontinental. They spruced it up a bit with some paint and lighter hallways but really it was the service that impressed me. All the staff I came in contact with were excellent. The room was bright and comfortable and clean. The bathroom was a little old as the shower door felt like it would fall off it’s hinges and gone were the luxury soaps creams and shampoos from the IC. No frills but if you asked for a bathrobe they brought it up. Fridge was not working but the Nespresso machine was. Never ending great coffee was a big plus too. I tried room service twice as I was working in the room during the day and the food, while limited, was delicious. I would definitely return and highly recommend this hotel as the location can’t be beat as well.

Booked Deluxe King Room with breakfast included. Room was spacious and breakfast was great. Yet the standard of housekeeping was far from satisfactory. First, hairs were found at the wrap for the wire of the hair dryer the moment I checked in, and small scrap of paper was also found on the inside of a towel. Without any notice/sign in the room about the hotel's green housekeeping policy (if any), towels heavily loaded on the hook and hangers in the bathroom were not collected even on day 3 of my stay (there was no bath tub in the room to place used towels). Packs of cotton pads, cotton buds and small soaps were not refilled even when totally used up. Interesting enough, when enquired with front desk if that was the hotel's policy not to so collect the towels and make the refill unless express requests were made, the answer was in the negative. The charging of tips for breakfast is another interesting issue. My husband stayed at the hotel for 2 nights (with breakfast included) before my arrival. When he checked out, he was asked to pay for tips for 1 breakfast. After clarifying if tips should be paid for 2 breakfasts instead, front desk apologized for having wrongly charged for any tips as all charges should have already been included when making the hotel booking. Yet on our checking out after 5 nights' stay with the hotel, we were told that we had to pay for tips for 2 days' breakfast. We again enquired about the hotel policy and explained that we were willing to pay but wondered why tips weren't charged for all 5 days for our stay. No explanation was given and the staff (probably thought that we did not want to pay) just advised that the charges would be waived. I have stayed at Park Hyatt Bangkok and the service was excellent. Was thus surprised to had those experience at Park Hyatt Toronto.

A beautiful hotel. The lobby is tall, and the overhead looks like snowflakes are falling. The paintings and handicrafts in the room are condensed. Toiletries are Le Labo. It has a shower room and a large off-white bathtub. Located in Yorkville, Toronto's most high-end community. Metro station Bloor-Yonge is 400 meters away.

On Bloor Street, a very safe and clean neighborhood, very close to the University of Toronto and the Royal Ontario Museum. There are also Holt Refrew department store and various luxury stores nearby, which is super convenient for shopping! The room is large and clean, the facilities are very new, and the price is a little high.
