Tomball Hotels with Pools

Staff is super friendly. Check in was smooth. Rooms were big, clean and comfortable. Big screen television was nice to watch the game. Gym was very nice and clean. The breakfast was amazing with so many options. This is hidden gem.

This location is highly convenient for visiting - access to the highway but far enough away to not have road noise, lots of places to eat (both local and chain). The room is clean and sleep was good. The breakfast (for COVID-19 times) was very good. Be advised that water is not provided at breakfast... You will either need to purchase bottled water or fill up your bottle in the restroom nearby. (We did the second.) The room was clean and had good amenities (fridge, microwave, good power access, lights reachable from the bed). The small nightlight was broken in our room. We didn't report, just moved furniture so we'd not trip in the dark. The internet service was spotty but good enough - we could read emails and keep up with work but couldn't update apps on our phones. The hotel, though, was run down with little care given to presentation. Too many tables in the meal area, little room for navigation, and NOT accessible-friendly. The notice for the elevator was held to the wall with a paperclip and glue. Wallpaper was peeling and the lights in the drive/entry were flashing light a nightclub. (I actually thought it was on purpose when we checked in, as there was a party being held in the parking lot). The pool was COLD and the jacuzzi was not heated. The hotel posts signage that masks are to be worn in all public areas but the desk staff never wore them. The housekeeping staff were always friendly and helpful (kudos!) but the front desk staff always seemed dissatisfied. When we checked in, there were two people -- one never greeted us, the other spoke only a few words to finish the contractual obligation. When we checked out, the front desk person was handling the reporting of a situation over the phone. She was, quite understandably, not able to speak with us as we left. All in all, I would stay here again. It's good to know, though, what one should expect.

The Tomball HIX was such a pleasant stay! We checked in Tuesday night and had been upgraded to a suite due to a plumbing issue. Check-in was a breeze and reception was polite and friendly. Immediately upon entering, I noticed room was well cleaned. Bathroom was well stocked w towels and clean. The desk was a bit small but served its purpose for our 3 nights there. The bedding was comfortable and offered two types of pillow firmness which I thought was a great touch. There was a Keurig, fridge, and microwave, none of which we used. I shopped the 24-hour convenience corner “store” in the lobby on our 2nd night. Got a cup noodle. The gentleman working reception that night was friendly and helped me to get hot water and sent me back to my room with extra bowls to carry the hot cup in. I worked during the day and the hotel’s free wifi worked well the entire time. We did have an issue w the cable tv but was resolved the following day by a tech who came by our room. Check out was easy, as it was possible to do it on the TV. We opted to ask for a physical statement of account at the front desk but was told the hotel could not provide one and that we would have to obtain one from our booking site. Not sure how true that is, that a hotel isn’t able to generate a folio. Overall, I enjoyed the stay and appreciated most the cleanliness of the suite.

All employees appear to be family. Only one maid was seen during our three day stay. When minor issues were reported to the manager at the front desk his kind previously demeanor turned defensive and indifferent to our needs. The attitude alone would keep me away but other small things contributed to the bad experience. Don't be fooled by the offer of a free breakfast. It was poorly stocked with a waffle maker and some juice. It was hurriedly unplugged at 9:01 am and other guests were turned away when asking only for coffee. Appeared really cheap.
