I recently stayed at Vessel Inn Takadanobaba in Tokyo and had a pleasant experience. While it took a long journey from the airport to reach the hotel, the location made up for it as it was conveniently near Takadanobaba Station, providing easy access to different parts of Tokyo.
The room was clean, well-maintained, and slightly more spacious than typical Tokyo hotels. The bed was comfortable, and amenities such as free drinks in the lounge and a well-equipped bathroom added to the comfort.
One of the highlights was the convenience of having a OK Mart and several other convenience stores nearby, making it easy to grab snacks, drinks, or daily necessities. The area also had plenty of restaurants and local eateries, perfect for trying different Japanese dishes.
The staff were polite and efficient, and check-in/check-out was smooth.
Overall, Vessel Inn Takadanobaba is a great choice for travelers who want an accessible and comfortable stay, with plenty of conveniences nearby. Just be prepared for a longer commute from the airport.

The receptionist Harry, is pleasant, helpful and can speak good English. Able to provide assistance when I ask for the directions and services of the hotel. A very convenient hotel beside Lawson, 7-11 mart with many eateries! Welcome drinks/ coffee at lobby and water dispenser on every floor. But a bit rowdy at night as it is near the night spot.

Our impression of Tokyo hotels was that they would be extremely small (past 2 trips were really small rooms), but the residential room in this hotel was big! We were deciding between Hyatt Regency in Yokohama and this one, but we ultimately chose this one despite paying more for the centralised location and the fact that there was a washing machine in the room too (free laundry!). This is literally only 3 mins walk away from Shinjuku-Higashi station which is linked to the Oedo and Fukutoshin line so it is fairly convenient to get to most major places in Tokyo. It is also situated in Shinjuku, but not in the heart of the district so it's not noisy and crowded with tourists at all. The hotel doesn't have a gym, but if you have an Anytime Fitness membership, they have one decent outlet just opposite the road. There are 2 convenient stores (Lawson and Family Mart) very near the hotel too, and a MacDonalds too. We got the highest possible floor (the highest one being the terrace room) for our room type and we had a nice window view overlooking the street down below. The bed was comfortable, but the toilet was a bit small (the usual for Japanese hotels). Highly recommended if you are looking to stay near to major Tokyo locations but also value your peace and quiet.

Shinjuku Prince Hotel is a fantastic choice for travelers seeking convenience and comfort in Tokyo. Located in the heart of Shinjuku's vibrant Kabukicho district, it's just a 5-minute walk from JR Shinjuku Station. The rooms are modern, clean, and well-equipped with amenities like free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and mini-fridges. Despite the bustling surroundings, the rooms are quiet, ensuring a restful stay. The hotel also offers excellent dining options, including a buffet restaurant and a Japanese dining bar with panoramic city views. With its prime location and top-notch facilities, Shinjuku Prince Hotel provides great value for money.

Good hotel, good facilities such as laundry and vending machines for drinks. Free ice machine etc. Shame there was a charge for the gym, cost alot per night (I know its Tokyo) but thought that would be available included.
Clean and comfortable - rooms a bit smaller than expected and no where to hang clothes in the room we had - our son and daughters rooms had a different set up so maybe it was an unlucky draw.
Staff friendly and super helpful. It was my husbands birthday whilst we stayed and they made him a card and a gift.
Breakfast as per hotels quite expensive- we just grabbed breakfast locally lots of choice nearby including a Starbucks in the building but again cheaper options within 5 mins walking.
Nice Kabuki food hall in the building and close to lots of evening entertainment but I would say some of the entertainment nearby is not 'family friendly' and there was some public drinking going on in the square in front of the hotel by local young people - nothing too bad but some were a bit intoxicated at times....
All in all happy with the stay for what we paid.... maybe would try a different location next time
The room is spacious and we can fit our 4 luggagrs (2 big and 2 small).
The amenities is available in the ground floor and has all sorts of stuff that you need and also that you don't you need 😅. Basically you can come emptied-amenities and still it would not be a problem.
Location-wise is top notch, the train is just 2 minutes walk away. And nearby has all sort of convenience stores: 7-11, Donki, Lawson, Family Mart. It is also a coiple stops away from Shinjuku and Shibuya.
Unfortunately, there is a charge of ¥2,000 to dispose large items as our luggage was damage during our flights. But I think that's acceptable.
Overall, a very comfortable stay and would highly recommend.

A few minutes from Shinjuku Station East Exit, you can’t miss it from hundreds of metres away, it’s the building with Godzilla’s head sticking out 50 m above the ground. Lots of restaurants on the ground floor, convenience stores, and in the middle of Kabukicho, literally open 24 hours. Cafe and some Godzilla souvenirs on the 8th floor lobby level, where you can get close up and personal with the star attraction himself. The rooms are fine, nice sized bath, but you need to close the blind at night to shut out the light pollution.

AMAZING experience! Totally recommend this hotel. Location, space, cleanliness, service and amenities are incredible.
Plus, the area/neighborhood where is located is super close to train station and lots of food options.
If you are from lgbtq community, super plus is that you can walk to bars.
Don't hesitate, book it now.
Clean and comfortable rooms. Room came with a balcony. Toilet was spacious and well designed. Hotel has a free onsen for guests, pyjamas and proper slippers are provided in the room to wear when going to to the onsen. Hotel breakfast was good. Very near the metro station.

Very nice hotel close to Metro. Very close to busy Shinjuku, but in a quiet area. Nice room , modern, great bathroom
Rooms good size, beds very comfy, lovely bathroom. great location only 5 min walk to metro. Modern hotel.
The hotel is located in Nishi-Shinjuku, and the surrounding area belongs to the business district, which is a great location just outside of the busiest part of Shinjuku. Nice room in good size with a lovely bathroom, beds are very comfy. There is a convenient store downstairs, and many others nearby. The hotel are very thoughtful and caring, they provides many skin care samples, such as face cleanser, toner, lotions, mouthwash and hand creams at the lobby. We had a perfect stay.

Very Good
SShinyiNice hotel and the hotel room is very clean and comfortable. The hotel front desk is very helpful. The most good things is they are able to check in early if there is a available room. Although there is a early check in charges for 5000 yen but still worth it. There is a Lawson just 30 second walking distance to the hotel. Strongly recommend to the travellers who is bringing kids or old ppl to stay this hotel.
EERI.Nwe loved our stay! the room were spacious for tokyo hotels. it was clean and organized. the staff were very professional and welcoming for check-in/out and attentive to any questions you have. the location was perfect since its close to subway stations and only 1 or 2 station away from shibuya or omotesando. we loved the bathroom in this hotel since the shower and tub are seperated so you can relax and soak in the tub for cold winter. we would definitely stay again for our next visit to tokyo. it was fantastic.

XXiaolaohuI can only say that I am very satisfied. The price is impeccable. There are many delicious foods and drinks on the first floor that are free!
GGuest UserAlthough the room is relatively old, it is clean and tidy, and the bed is multifunctional. The comfort level is OK. The breakfast has few categories. The closing time is very strict. Near Waseda University, there are Chinese and Korean restaurants nearby
DDeyn NgOur stay at Hundred Stay Tokyo Shinjuku was outstanding. It offered a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and value.
The hotel is conveniently located just a 5 to 10-minute walk from Ōkubo Station on the JR Chūō-Sōbu Line, making it easy to explore Tokyo, including Shinjuku and Harajuku. The surrounding area has various local restaurants, convenience stores, and supermarkets for daily needs. Despite being centrally located, the neighborhood is quiet and offers a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation after a busy day. While the walk may be less ideal for those with heavy luggage, it's generally manageable.
The rooms at Hundred Stay are spacious and well-designed for Tokyo. Our studio apartment had a small kitchenette and was exceptionally clean. The compact bathroom was functional, with a separate shower and bathtub, which was great for families needing to use the facilities at once.
The service at Hundred Stay was outstanding. The staff was friendly, professional, and spoke fluent English, which made communication easy.
Hundred Stay provides great value with spacious rooms and amenities like a kitchenette and washing machine, all at an affordable rate near Shinjuku.
SSunnyService was great! Our original room had a weird smell that wouldn’t go away - reception staff promptly checked it out and moved us to a different room. Rooms are small but standard for Japan - we could open and pack 2 large suitcases (although quite tight). Location was good although we didn’t realise it was in the *** ***** ******** when booking.

LL HungWe took the Airport Limousine directly to the hotel, which was a really nice perk to start our first visit to Tokyo.
The staff were friendly and helpful at check-in, and the self checkout was very convenient. We were there to celebrate our 44th anniversary, so we were given a room with a view of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. The daily towel changes and complimentary bottled water were a nice treat. We didn't eat at the hotel, so I can not comment on the food.
The location is ideal, especially when we checked out and had to get to Shinjuku Station to take a train to Yokohama. We took one day street which was great with luggage in tow. We didn't have to drag our luggage through the crowds and uneven sidewalks.
The self-serve amenities are very convenient, and we love the sponge. Thank you for a wonderful first-time experience.
