Hotels near Sensō-ji, Tokyo

Easy walking distance of around 10-15mins from Ueno station to hotel. When it rains, you can walk through the underpass but easy to get lost. Spacious room that comes with bath tub but it can flood the bathroom so water release has to be done very slowly. Easy walk to Ameya-yokocho street for shopping and food.

The room is very clean and quite, suitable for solo traveller like me. Walkable to Ueno train station. Surrounded by convenience shop. The best convenience shop beside is Lawson natural. Has a lot of nice food especially for vegetarian, it has vegan foods and it also work with famous vegan noodle shop tan tan's. I bought the cold noodle there.And Is about 30 minutes walk to Asakusa Temple. I would love to come back here in future.

It was a great pleasure to stay in Nogha Hotel, the location is excellent with just about 10 min walk from Ueno JR. The information desk is helpful in advising us to take the elevator near exit 2 so we did not need to carry the luggages up the stairs. The hotel is clean and nicely designed.  The most attractive part of the room is the B&O Bluetooth speaker. There are many restaurants around the hotel which we can find many delicious choices.

Although breakfast is free, the ingredients are very good, broccoli, blueberries, etc. are served almost every day, and soup containing mushrooms of water-soluble dietary fiber, I also liked Japanese avocado and chicken. Carrots and seafood carpaccio were also delicious. I think it's included in the room rate, but it was a very healthy breakfast compared to the Richmond I used to use so far. As for the room, it's a business hotel, so can't it be helped? If you dare to say it, I would like you to light up the corridor and the elevator hall on the first floor every morning. The staff were also polite and nothing happened during my stay. If you have a large suitcase, it is easier to get to the hotel by using the elevator that is only on the Asakusa Line side of the metropolitan government. There is only a long staircase at the ４ exit next to the hotel, so it is difficult to go up the stairs with luggage. On rainy days, it is better to walk underground to the hotel. It was a terminal station that was easy to use because there was a ２ station on the JR Sobu Line to Tokyo Station and a ２ line on the Asakusa Line to Narita Airport.

Nice location. Took airport coach and got off at TCAT, Tokyo City Air Terminal, walked 8 minutes to hotel. Two nearby underground train stations nearby. There are many shops and restaurants nearby from the EDO period, including freshly-made udon which always has a queue, tempura, sushi shops and dessert shop from 1833! Worth visiting!

I stayed here from December 13-17 of 2019 and I did not encounter any problem at all. Front Desk no matter what time of day or night are always very courteous and accommodating and helpful. The housekeepers are VERY KIND in that they LEAVE A FRESH supply of towels, bathrobe etc bundled in a plastic bag every day since I had the “do not disturb” sign those 4 nights! Breakfast menu is awesome! Train station and Family Mart are right outside the hotel and if you walk a block or two there’s a ramen place, 7-11, a grocery and drugstore, as well. Very convenient location!

Aman Tokyo sets a new standard for exceptional hard products. Despite a mishap on our first night when we returned from dinner to find our room uncleaned, the front desk manager promptly apologized and offered complimentary drinks. The head of housekeeping also personally apologized at breakfast and showered us with thoughtful gestures like a fruit platter and free laundry. Subsequently, our stay was faultless. Aman Tokyo also boasts stunning design and architecture and a strategic location near Otemachi station, Tokyo station, the Imperial Palace, and Ginza. Its awe-inspiring atrium leaves a lasting impression. The generously sized rooms, starting at 70 square meters, feature high ceilings throughout, with unforgettable views of the imperial gardens from the bed. Even the retractable TV showcases its thoughtful design, providing guests with an unobstructed view of the Tokyo skyline. The hotel's farewell was equally remarkable. Providing a complimentary hotel car transfer to Tokyo station, while being escorted by another staff member who went the extra mile to purchase our tickets, carry our luggage to the platform, store our luggage on the train and brought us to our seats. Undoubtedly, this luxury at Aman Tokyo comes at a price. However, delivers the sought-after wow factor for which its rates command. After all, Tokyo is one of the most expensive cities in the world. From the grand lobby to the inviting pool and spacious rooms, the hotel impresses on many levels. Managing expectations is, however, key. It would be unrealistic to expect the usual Aman-type of service commonly associated with their other properties whose room counts are a lot smaller. While the initial mishap was regrettable, the subsequent personalized attention and meticulous service surpassed expectations for a city hotel with 80 rooms. Whether this was due to the initial mishap or reflective of their usual standards remains unknown, warranting another stay on my next visit to Tokyo.

We wanted a hotel right next to Tokyo Station as we were traveling by Shinkansen, and it doesn't get much closer than this. Like many modern hotels in Tokyo located in office towers, the actual lobby isn't on the ground level. This was a little annoying but it is what it is. Our room was spacious as expected, with views of Nihonbashi and the east side. Plenty of room to open up our big suitcases. The chaise longue next to the windows was a comfortable place to spend time on. The bathroom had a large wet room, equipped with a rainshower next to the bath tub. The glass wall meant that one could be in the bathroom and look out not only at the room, but at the rest of Tokyo if curtains were drawn. My main complaint was the shortage of TV channels with English or non-Japanese broadcast. We stayed in local Japanese hotels where they offered more international programming, so why didn't Shangri-La?! Service was otherwise fine, with check-out available via the Shangri-La app on one's mobile phone.

It’s just wonderful to stay in ascott. It is just opposite to otemachi station (find exit C9). Best of all, it has a 24 hour gym, suitable for gym goers / and more importantly business travel. The room is bigger than most ordinary rooms in Tokyo, with art of state facilities. The staff here are attention, and helpful. Do consider if you have the extra budget 😊

Very comfortable stay. Love the location - near a train station and walkable to Ginza area and Tokyo train station. Quiet, not so bustling like shibuya or Shinjuku which we enjoyed! Room was clean and comfortable. Even had washer & dryer where soap is auto dispensed! Service was great, they helped us with storing our luggage as we were returning to the hotel later part of our trip, provided extra pillows upon request etc etc, just a really friendly and helpful bunch! When we returned for our second half of our trip, they gave us a bigger and nice corner room!
