The room is spacious, bright, comfortable and warm. It has everything you need for daily life. You can cook simple meals yourself. The hotel is between Yoga Station and Futako Tamagawa Station, and it is an acceptable distance to walk there. It is not a commercial area, but the environment is very quiet. I slept well every day. It is suitable for slow travel~
The hotel had the bare minimum of services. However, the environment was better than other hotels with similar services. The unit bath was spacious. Usually, the bathtub, sink, and toilet are all packed together, but the bathtub is about 1m away (the width of four pairs of slippers) from the door, and the toilet and sink were easy to use. There was a mini kitchen, so you could use water in the room even if someone was in the bathroom, and it was nice that there was a washer/dryer so you could take a few clothes with you. The hotel was right next to the station and the bus stop was right in front of it, and there were convenience stores, pharmacies, and 100-yen shops nearby. There was a small supermarket in the basement of the station, with a wider selection of bento, bread, side dishes, fruit, and more than the convenience stores. It was open from 7am, so you could buy breakfast there, and if you needed anything during your trip, you could buy anything around the hotel. It was just over 10 minutes from Shibuya, and the environment was great.
It was interesting to live in a Y-shaped room for the first time, after all, it opened in 1984. There is a convenience store downstairs and it is close to Sangenjaya Station, so transportation is convenient.

The room is nice but there is no bathtub in the room which is not convenient for us because we have small children with us. The hangers in the entrance right side were covered with dust. There were coffee and water in the room since we have children we hope to have juice for the kids too.
The breakfast was very good, the cook and servers are very polite. The bread and miso soup was very good.
Mustard is pretty epic as far as location goes, other reviews mention that the hotel is overpriced, but for tokyo and for a property this special I think the premium is justified. Having spent the whole winter traveling around Japan, you can definitely find budget options, but you're not getting the aura of a place like Mustard. Being around super cool creative people is definitely worth money! You don't even get this at 5 star hotels. Mustard is special and I loved staying there. I also didn't find the claims of the dirty rooms to be true. The carpet is a little beat, but the bedding was perfect and I slept well. My only point would be, there do seem to be very tiny, microscopic black things crawling around in the shower. That was a little weird. They're so tiny you wouldn't notice them unless you really look. That's weird! Please clean the showers better. The housekeeping area is open in the morning and you can see ”MONTHLY GOAL” posted up, so the staff are definitely taking KAIZEN-type measures to keep improving, which is awesome and very Japanese. This is my new base in Tokyo. A lot of magic can happen at this place. Thanks for a great stay.
It was a clean and very cozy space that did not make you feel narrow.
On the first night, I was a little confused because there was a person who was talking loudly downstairs until midnight, but I don't think I care so much about the sound of the next room if the door is closed.
This is my first time staying in such a mixed room. The experience was better than I thought. It was not that bad. The hotel almost had no front desk. You had to rely on an email sent at a certain time the next day to get in. However, the interior was very clean and the facilities were ok.
GGuest UserI loved the sauna and the bathroom sprudled the whole night. The equipment ranges from towels, sleeping suits, to cosmetics of all kinds - all included in the price! The hotel is very basic, but rather good for it because the location is also pleasant to the next metro station and you can check in until 5 a.m. For the price unprecedented for me and the best capsule hotel experience for me in Tokyo.
I'd like to come back!
GGuest UserThe B&B is about three minutes' walk from the north exit of Keio Line Daitabashi Station, which is very convenient. There is only an elevator at the north exit. If you have luggage, you can use the elevator entrance opposite. After crossing the tram tracks, go back to the north exit. There are many convenience stores here, including Daiso and Lawson where you can pick up tickets. There are also many small restaurants where locals eat. The homestay requires self-registration. You need a password to enter the basement, and enter the room password to get the key to open the door. The room is a one-bedroom and a small living room with an open kitchen. The bathroom and toilet are separated. The bedroom has a double bed and a table, a wardrobe, and a conversion plug. The equipment is sufficient, the place is clean, the bed is comfortable, and there is enough heating in winter. However, they won't clean the place even if you stay for a few days, so you have to keep it clean by yourself. Bath towels are only distributed at the beginning, and you have to sort the garbage. It's a self-service residential style, so if you mind, you should consider it. Other aspects are very good👍🏻
GGuest UserThis Tokyo Hani Base Apartment is the first time to stay in Tokyo. It feels good. It is like home. It is very close to Shibuya. The subway is less than ten minutes.
GGuest UserThis stay was beyond my expectations! From the warm and professional attitude of the front desk staff when checking in, to the neat and warm room layout when opening the door, every detail makes people feel comfortable. The room facilities are complete, the bedding is soft and skin-friendly, the smart device is easy to operate, and even the toiletries have a light and high-end fragrance. The hotel is in an excellent location, with convenient transportation, food, and shopping around, and a guidebook for nearby attractions is also provided. Breakfast is even more surprising, with rich and varied Chinese and Western dishes, and the freshly made fried eggs and noodles are so fragrant that people can't help but eat a few more plates! When leaving the store, the staff also gave a small gift, and the thoughtful service was touching. I highly recommend this treasure hotel, and I will definitely stay here next time!
