I felt very safe staying in a home rather than a hotel.
The station and convenience store are close by, so you won't have any trouble with shopping.
There are also restaurants a short walk away, which was great.
However, the hangers were broken and the hair dryer seemed like it might break, making it difficult to use, so I think it might be a good idea to bring your own hair dryer.
