Akasaka Guesthouse HIVE

The hostel is perfectly located within Tokyo and offers 2 metro stations close-by to reach different parts of the city very quickly. Also the quarter Akasaka itself is quiet and a supermarket and various convenience stores are nearby. Each floor has 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets, which are enough for the dorms of approx. 18 ppl per floor. The cleaning is done daily and very diligently - even the mattresses etc are aired out. I liked that each dorm bed has a shelf + mirror, small clothes rail + hangers, as well as - compared to other hostels I stayed - a relatively large cabinet with lock to store a Rucksack and/or bag with valuables. The suitcase/backpack cannot be locked away, but stored towards the end of the room on a rack/shelf. I also liked the community space at the ground floor to socialise and heat up / eat food from outside. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. One can store luggage at the entrance prior arrival and post departure.

It was my first time trying to check in here in Japan, I was just searching for a place to get sleep for a night. I thought it would be hard for me to get one. But I'm glad I found this place. The staff receptionist is so nice and friendly. The place is good, even there are different people in a room, I get to have a good sleep. Arigato!

My first time staying in a dorm like facilty .Surprisingly very comfortable.The bed are cozy for its size and the space is sufficient enough for me. This place is great for solos and group of friends to stay
