This is the fifth time my family is staying at Kariwak and it never disappoints. Surrounded by tranquil gardens and birdsong, it’s so easy to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of real life. The breakfast is a highlight, try the cocoa tea if you have the chance! What makes this place truly exceptional are the people. Ms Suzette, Natoya and Jackie are incredible and go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. I cannot recommend this place enough!

The hotel is situated close to the airport runway but don’t let this put you off, it’s actually very quiet and the location itself is beautiful and tranquil. First the good parts, housekeeping is excellent with the rooms kept spotless all of the time and nothing seems to be too much trouble. The location as said is actually very good in that it is a small oasis with a pool bar and restaurant plus gardens hot tub and hammocks . The staff have been universally very nice people. Rooms are a little old-fashioned, and do have a few problems with improper lighting, with poor bedside lighting. There is air-conditioning but no ceiling fans which is a little bit of a drawback sometimes. The food in the restaurant is mostly very good, with occasional issues as you would expect from any chef I guess, but there is a strange but bad problem there, we found the seats university very uncomfortable. Not a cheap hotel, and I would expect better for the money.

Treated myself to one day and night at this gorgeous place. The gardens, flowers. the 2 pools , restaurant charming cabanas to sleep, no tv, serene, holistic environment. Yoga snd massages are readily available. A great experience. Affordable Will go again ! ♥️

Kariwak is a beautiful hotel, the ambiance is very calming and serene! The check in process was very slow however... Also I was disappointed in the hotel's breakfast, everything took really long and when it came, it was cold, so it seems it was prepared awhile before being delivered! The rooms are very clean and well maintained however, I was very comfortable there! The pool is beautiful and very relaxing. It was amazing watching all the birds, including the hummingbirds! I had a massage while I was there, the masseuse was great! I didn't get to attend any of the yoga classes though.

If you're looking for a retreat without the distractions of TV, where it's peaceful and they grow their own vegetables then this could be the ideal spot for you.
Unfortunately I must have visited in the off season as I was one of few guests. I didn't see anyone dining in the restaurant and the bar cabinets had to be unlocked to get a drink, with a lot of dusty bottles.
The surrounding streets felt a little unsafe to walk down too.
However the pool and gard ns were lovely.

My wife and I visited again for the second time and had a blissful week of peace and tranquility. We love it here it’s a haven of beautiful plants, trees and birds and so peaceful that time just doesn’t matter . Our garden cottage was great and had very good AC so the room was kept nice and cool . Also a ceiling fan to keep air moving . The room was spotlessly clean with service being carried out daily if required. The food was beautiful and prepared fresh with the hotel using many ingredients from their gardens . The staff were great and really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We look forward to another visit next year. Thanks to everyone at The Kariwak , you are amazing!
