We were very satisfied with both the food and the hot springs. We are already talking about going back.

The hotel's hot spring should be the first one out of the spring, and there are many guests who come back for the day. However, this hotel was built too long after all, and everything looks old. The breakfast and dinner are also OK. The two grandfathers at the front desk are also trying hard to communicate in English. The overall experience is not bad

My 2-day stay at Kawayu Kanko hotel was very pleasant. While the rooms may look tired, they are spacious and functional (I could do my taiqi exercise in my room!). 3 things I like most about the stay: the staff I interacted with, the onsen and the dinner. Ms Yuka at the front desk spoke perfect English and she gave me the most useful ideas about where to eat and where to go. Thanks to her, I got to learn about the Teshikaga Eco-Passport and got to visit Lake Kussharo (Sunayu area), Lake Mashu and Mt Io by bus, all in one day. Her boss, Mr Nakajima was a very friendly gentleman. Language did not deter him as he patiently gave me a lesson (using his phone translator) about the geographics and the creation of the Kawayu Onsen area. Secondly, the onsen was great. The temperature was just right for me and the mineral refreshed my body instantly. I was told the hot spring water in the hotel came directly from a source that is only a few kilometers away. Lastly, the kaiseki dinner was great. The spread was generous. On a freezing winter day, the 2 personal hotpots greatly filled up and warmed my body. I will definitely return to the hotel.

The hot springs are very good. As soon as you arrive at the hotel, you can smell the sulfur! The hotel has a long history and is very old. The tatami will fall into pieces. I stayed for two nights and used the food and beverage for one day. I think it's pretty good. The surrounding scenery is good. The weather was very good on the day of the tour. Sulfur Mountain, Lake Kussharo, Kushiro River canoe, and Lake Mashu are the most beautiful scenery of this trip. It is much more beautiful and fun than Shiretoko without drift ice and Shiretoko with heavy snow.

Environment: If you come in winter, the snow scenery is nice, but there are few restaurants near Kawayu Facilities: There is an open-air hot spring, which is very comfortable Service: The front desk lady speaks fluent English, has a friendly attitude and provides good service

The hardware equipment is a bit old, the service is just average, let alone the food. At this price, it is a bit high. Compared with other hot spring hotels, there is room for improvement.

The receptionist at the front desk was very enthusiastic and provided a lot of information. Although the hotel is a bit old, it is clean and comfortable, but the crystallization of the hot spring pool is too thick. But not in the way, everything is fine.

The room is very spacious, divided into a living room and a bedroom. There are 4 onsen pools with different heat levels.
