The Toshikaga Hostel Misato is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Toshikaga Hostel Misato offers a pleasant stay in Teshikaga for those traveling for business or leisure. The hotel is conveniently located a short 2km drive from JR Mashu Station. Seeing Teshikaga's sights from this hotel is easy with 摩周バスサウナ, Hosenji and Poppo-yu (Masyu station foot path) all close by. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city.
The hotel is very close to JR Station of Chuantang Hot Springs. It takes about 10 minutes to walk. The front desk service is very good and there is no problem in English communication. At the time of check-in, the hot spring tax is charged per person, 150 yen per person. Booked in a Japanese-style triple room, the room is very warm, the breakfast is good, typical Japanese cuisine, although the taste is not used, but full. The hotel's hot springs are very comfortable, there are not many pools, one indoors, one outdoor, and no other outdoor pools. If you do not consider the traffic, it is recommended to go to the Sulphur Mountain direction, the choice will be more, all the way to the hot spring inn, all natural hot springs. The hotel also provides free help to host a trip, which is very convenient.
I chose this hotel because, firstly, it has a single price and is friendly to solo travelers. Secondly, the hotel only has 60 rooms, which is more to my liking than a big hotel. Thirdly, it can enrich Ctrip’s reviews. Before placing the order, there was only one. After staying in most Japanese hotels, I feel that the money is worth the money spent, and this one is no exception. The connection is very convenient. You can walk from the Internet to Kawayu Onsen, get off the bus and take the bus to the end, where you will see the word ”Honeysuckle”. The public area is better than the room. The room is very ordinary. It just raises the tatami to become a bed. There is not even a bedside table. The description of the toilet is actually spelled wrong, which breaks the stereotype that Japanese people pay great attention to details. The shrimp sashimi at the buffet is of extremely high quality, sweet and glutinous, and can be eaten for breakfast and dinner. It’s delicious. If you are traveling alone, like sashimi, seafood, and have enough time, you can go there and you won’t regret it.
I didn't get the white bus so I gave up Lake Akan and stayed at Kawayu Onsen instead. I was surprisingly satisfied. The room was big, the hot spring was strong, and there were old men at the front desk. The only drawback was that dinner was not included. There is a family restaurant called 3355 and a noble cafe next to it, both of which are delicious.

Very Good
GGuest UserI lived in a tatami room with a toilet in the room and no shower, but the hotel can take a bath. Soaking in the winter will warm your hands and feet. It is better than a shower. It doesn't matter if the room does not have a shower.
GGuest UserJR Mozhou Lake Station should be the largest hotel around. JR Mozhou Lake Station itself is a small station, but it is located in the transportation center of Akanmo Zhou National Park. It is very convenient to travel here. The hotel is a traditional hotel with a very old age. The 24-hour hot spring is delivered to the room. It is very convenient to provide free pick-up and drop-off service. I wrote an email in English to inform JR that someone was waiting for the train to leave the station. Check-in time at night is also relatively loose, unlike some homestay regulations 16-18 check-in, the itinerary is more difficult to plan (Hokkaido winter is a little dark at 16:00, during the day, hurry up to play at the attractions and then take the car to Mozhou Station, 18 o'clock is basically too late), It is also the only hotel that can be cancelled for free on the same day, which is quite rare in Japan and is very convenient for temporary adjustment of the itinerary. From JR Mozhou Station, you can take the winter-limited eco-buckling bus to visit Sulphur Mountain, Sand Soup, Mozhou Lake First Observatory, etc., and you can also pick up the SL Winter Shiyuan steam train from the standard tea station. The scenery is beautiful.
彭彭It's been almost three months since I came back, and I still miss the time in Mazhou. This homestay is run by a family of four. The father is responsible for the Toyota van picking up passengers at the JR station, the mother is responsible for reception, the younger sister and the older brother are responsible for the kitchen, and the whole family is responsible for hygiene matters. I stayed with two children. Although I booked two beds, the boss gave me the whole room and we renewed the reservation for one night the next day. Because of the renewal, I saw the beautiful sunrise of Mihoro Card and the big geese next to Lake Mashu. The children also met new friends. Picture above, picture above.
GGuest UserMy 2-day stay at Kawayu Kanko hotel was very pleasant. While the rooms may look tired, they are spacious and functional (I could do my taiqi exercise in my room!). 3 things I like most about the stay: the staff I interacted with, the onsen and the dinner. Ms Yuka at the front desk spoke perfect English and she gave me the most useful ideas about where to eat and where to go. Thanks to her, I got to learn about the Teshikaga Eco-Passport and got to visit Lake Kussharo (Sunayu area), Lake Mashu and Mt Io by bus, all in one day. Her boss, Mr Nakajima was a very friendly gentleman. Language did not deter him as he patiently gave me a lesson (using his phone translator) about the geographics and the creation of the Kawayu Onsen area. Secondly, the onsen was great. The temperature was just right for me and the mineral refreshed my body instantly. I was told the hot spring water in the hotel came directly from a source that is only a few kilometers away. Lastly, the kaiseki dinner was great. The spread was generous. On a freezing winter day, the 2 personal hotpots greatly filled up and warmed my body. I will definitely return to the hotel.
