I had an "Executive" room which, including breakfast cost £195. It was fine, albeit a bit dated although I had to request a bathrobe and there was no vanity mirror as had been advertised. Where it all went downhill was the bathroom. My goodness. So, first of all the shower was just an attachment over the bath. Surprising these days in a hotel that sells itself as a luxury hotel. Worse was to come though, it was on one of those poles where you can adjust the height - except you couldn't adjust the height, it was completely stuck at about 4 foot high!. The water pressure was woeful so my morning shower comprised of me crouching in the bath with a dribble of luke warm water running over my face. Hardly the "luxury executive" experience I was led to believe I would be getting. But the thing is - the tiles and bath surround were completely revolting. Thick black mold all over and the bath panel was cracked and dirty. It was disgusting. I've attached some photos. Other than that, all the staff I encountered were delightful - pleasant, helpful and, in the main, efficient. The meal in the Marble Lounge was very nice and breakfast, when it eventually arrived, was perfectly good. The breakfast service was somewhat chaotic and at one stage whilst the restaurant was only about half full every single table was full of uncleared crockery and cutlery. It didn't seem to be anyone's job to clear tables. Other than the truly disgusting bathroom, I think I paid a fair price for what I received.

Fantastic service by every staff member. I would like to make a special voice of gratitude for the incredible hospitality from Matt, Ella, and Luke. They were superb. As part of a business meeting, they ensured that their attentiveness was never lacking and their warmth was always sincere. The information and origin of the food from Matt was memorable, with genuine excitement to share his knowledge with expertise. Another special thanks to Samii for assisting with the handover of something that I had forgotten in my hotel room. Would recommend this hotel for all. Thank you!

I was maid of honor at our best friends wedding 10th July . Wedding had to be organised in two weeks due to ill health . Hotel team were incredible in making their wedding day so perfect . Staff - Matt , Sophie , Morgan , May , ( I can not remember everyone’s names ) reception and wedding staff were so attentive and were amazing with ensuring we had everything we needed on the day. Matt who really helped me with anything needed , is fantastic at his job , his calmness was needed! Could you ensure all the staff are recognised for their hardwork and dedication . Beautiful hotel , stunning wedding , fantastic staff Many thanks Natasha

Visited for a wedding. They done a brilliant job. All the staff were helpful, food was great and perfectly kept gardens. We didn’t stay but would have liked to. The lake is a lovely feature and was easy to spot fish and other wildlife. Great job done by the venue.

Hotel Wunderschönes Anwesen. Weitläufiger Park. Möglichkeiten zum joggen oder Boule spielen gegeben. Ruhige Umgebung. Eindrucksvolles Ambiente. Britisch gepflegte gastronomische Traditionen Restaurant Aufmerksames Personal (sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend). Kreative Zubereitung der Speisen. Gutes kulinarisches Angebot. Sicherer Stellplatz. Für Classic Cars geeignet.

Location: While it's undoubtedly convenient for a weekend away from London there are better places nearby. Considering the number of event rooms it's probably catering for weddings and similar occasions. The grounds are smaller than expected and you can hear the motorway nearby. The main building is a typical country house hotel style, sitting rooms are not as comfortable as in many other similar laces we have been to, but the terrace at the back is very convenient and charming on a summer day. Would be nice to be able to walk around the pond or be offered some board games, something to do with children. Rooms: Rooms are located in the main house and stables next door. Our junior suite at stables was dated and in need of an update. The bedroom windows faced parking lot, which was somewhat loud late at night. This combined with one of the toilets being broken (running water) didn't make it a comfortable sleep. The bed itself was comfortable with selection of various pillows, but an extra child bed was right outside the bedroom door - making sofabed in the living room would have been better. Restaurant: Dinner was fairly good, particularly beef Wellington, and the price including drinks was about average for such hotels. Breakfast was also decent although coffee and tea so so (and would have been good to have slightly bigger pots). Wait to be served was rather long considering it was not that busy. Staff/ service: Staff was universally good from reception to waiters, very friendly and happy to chat to both adults and children. I give an extra star for quality of service. Overall about average country hotel stay, but it has more potential.
