Basic motel room with expected facilities close to centre of te anua. Unfortunately AC heating system failed during our stay making it a cold night. Friendly staff

Excellent location and path to Milford Sound
Good comfortable, spacious hotel, bath. Walking distance to town and a good range of hotels. Great place to follow-up trip to Milford Sound.

We are travelling around New Zealand & arrived early at this accommodation. Our rooms weren't ready so we left our luggage in reception with a very indifferent, sullen receptionist. I think we interrupted the tv programme she was listening to as she was most unhelpful & never smiled, just glared at us. We went on our planned trip to Te Anau caves. When we arrived back to the accommodation we found all the doors open to each room which we thought was strange. They obviously know they have a problem as both rooms had a very distinct, bad odour as did the bedding. Both kitchenettes were sparsely furnished for two adults with the bare minimum of equipment - 2 plates, 2 mugs, 2 teaspoons etc & a rusty old cheese grater. Only the towels were of adequate quality & they were lovely & fluffy. We couldn't wait to leave as we had previously stayed in such wonderful accommodation on our travels. Would definitely not recommend now we have read similar reviews.
