Fantastic Pet Friendly Hotel .Position on the loch was stunning. Food was traditional Scottish and very tasty. Chef made a mean cockaleeki pie!!. Michelle and her team go the extra mile to make sure your stay is unforgettable. Sandy is a fabulous and very passionate host a real asset to the hotel. If there ever came a time for the hotel to organise a night with live scottish music or a Ceilidh we will definitely be there. Hope to be back soon.

We booked the Hotel as it was a gift from our Daughter for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and it was stunning on arrival, the weather wasn't the greatest but can't be helped, inside the hotel was very cosy the Receptionist was very friendly and helpful we were allocated the Oliphant room which was lovely and cosy, we arrived on the Friday afternoon and opted for dinner in the Bar later which was lovely the food was delicious and I had a few of the lovely cocktails while my husband had had a couple of pints before moving on to the selection of whiskys, we had breakfast in the restaurant on both mornings and and it was delicious both times, our Evening meal on Saturday was outstanding and very filling I had the Beetroot Tart to start and my Husband had the Salmon and they were delicious, our Main meals were the Risottos myself being the Roasted Vegetable and my Husband was the Trout ans and again delicious and very filling, the staff were amazing, our stay was absolutely delightful and although we didn't bring our dogs on this occasion we know we could bring them in future as the Hotel is very pet friendly and although the weather wasn't the best I am sure it will be even more stunning with the better weather

Wow!! What a wonderful place to spend a weekend away from it all. Everything was perfect except that we only stayed for the weekend. We shall return very soon.

Beautiful location even in winter, hotel is cosy but needs a significant injection of cash to carry out repairs and replace tired worn out sofas, general shabbiness throughout and definitely not luxury. Our room was very comfortable as was the large en-suite bathroom but floor tiles were loose and wobbled when you walked on them. The hotel was thankfully warm and there was plenty of hot water, the shower was also very good. Breakfast tray was sufficient with lovely homemade shortbread. Staff are the biggest asset, friendly whilst professional . The biggest disappointment was the food, even with a very limited menu (which was overpriced ) the meals were poor, ridiculously small portions and on two occasions undercooked and lacked taste. Cheapest white wine was £11 for a 250ml , £13 for red both were mediocre. Breakfast options were good but again under or over cooked. The isolation of the hotel especially in winter leaves residents with little option but to eat/drink in the hotel. We have visited Taycreggan on three previous occasions but won’t visit again as the hotel is now tired but more importantly the restaurant meals are poor. On average a three night stay with breakfast and evening meal cost in excess of £600, not a fortune if food is tasty and sufficient but in reality it is neither. Quite disappointed overall.

Located in a really nice area, with just the river in front of the hotel. Food was excellent, the fish was so fresh, and the manager who served us, explained the dishes and cheese platter very well. We really enjoyed ourselves and will recommend to our family and friends.

Another visit to Taychrregan. We arrived mid afternoon and checked in with Michelle and we were allocated to room " Fyne ". A lovely room with a great view down the Loch. The room is a good size and the bathroom is also big with a shower cubicle and a slipper bath. Cocktails were served up by Sandy who makes a mean French Martini. The food in the restaurant is made to the usual high standard and credit must go to Gérard and his team in the kitchen. Jason and Cara in the restaurant are absolute stars and so friendly and knowledgeable regarding the menu. Michelle has a fantastic team who make you feel so comfortable and relaxed during your stay. Taychrregan is such a special place for a lovely, peaceful break. Plans are ongoing for a refurb in certain areas of the hotel and we are looking forward to returning early next year to see the improvements that have been made. Thank you Team T for another fantastic break.

First night here, definitely a fantastic place so far. Scenic views of loch awe, staff friendly and inviting. Sandy welcomed us in, a fantastic host and asset at the hotel. Plenty space for guests to spread out, with separate seating areas to relax and have a drink or mingle with other guest. Dog friendly and much is great, dog treats, blankets etc. Billiards table and boards games available. Haven’t eaten yet but I’m thinking food will be amazing with locally fresh sourced ingredients. Definitely coming back in the summer season. As they do close for winter from December to mid February. Will not be disappointed so give it try ASAP.

We went with all my friends for my 70th Birthday to this beautiful Hotel. Set on the banks of the loch, its the most wonderful setting. They set the fires for us outside, where we had prosecco and sparklers on the first night. Absolutely magical. The staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly. They even got dressed up on the 2nd night to help celebrate out Heroes and Villains theme! The Hotel is warm and so well laid out, the bar is welcoming and cosy as are the three lovely lounges at the front looking out onto the loch. We had beautiful 3 course meals in the Restaurant, the food was exceptional. The rooms again were warm, well equipped and beautifully clean. They are spacious and very comfortable and the front rooms have the most fantastic views over the loch. Even the rear rooms look over the forest where we saw deer grazing. We had our Prosecco Receptions in the bar areas and used the Conservatory for the dancing, quiz and films. For a large group the Hotel was fantastic but I have also stayed here as a couple and its equally amazing. Its a true find. A fabulous location, unbelievable Hotel with exceptional staff and wonderful service. Thank you to you all for making my birthday one to remember always!
