My stay at InterContinental was wonderful, largely thanks to the warm hospitality of Turakhon who introduced me about every aspect Uzibekistan like encyclopedia. Our two-hour chat was a highlight to my trip, offering a personal touch that truly set this place apart. Highly recommend this place, and remember to seek for a glass of wine with Turakhon. Can't wait to return!

Checking in was a nightmare I booked the hotel to stay 2 night before flying back to London. I checked in with my new wife as we just got married and the hotel reception demanded that we need a marriage certificate to stay at their hotel as my wife was Uzbekistan citizens and me being Uk. The reception was very rude unhelpful and even I was telling them that I am with my wife they didn’t want to check me in I found this very upsetting as I said if my girlfriend or female friend, wife was another nationality they won’t ask me for anything after talking to some fake managers that came to the reception they had to make so many phone calls to some places and after 45 minutes of waiting at the reception desk finally they checked us in was terrible no apologies was offered from 4-5 staff that had dealt with us 2 we’re supposed to be management which am not sure I feel they lied. I wasn’t happy at all with this from such a large hotel chain which I have used them in other locations. Room was good sized clean but service in general was poor for such a new hotel. Even morning breakfast staff no one ever said good morning or anything. There was no security at the front door ever when we came in or left the hotel to see local tourists attractions. Avoid the bar too expensive and cocktails weren’t great head to local restaurants for cheaper drinks. It’s a shame I can’t rate the service less than 1 stars if I could I would rate the service 0 stars. We stayed at the Wyndham in Tashkent as well with my wife didn’t have issues and staff there were fantastic.

The hotel is in a great location, and you can walk to the Timur Museum and Timur Square. I like the decoration style of the room, with distinctive solid wood furniture. Unfortunately, the shower water flow is not big and there is a little leakage (it is recommended to bring your own shampoo and bath products). We stayed for three nights, and the breakfast was good and rich enough.

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past seven years. The last time was in December 2024. The degradation of the infrastructure and the decline in service quality have become noticeable. When the temperature outside is below zero, the rooms become very cold, and a conventional wind is formed due to poor window insulation. The situation can be corrected by setting the air conditioner to high heat, but this dries the air very much, which is why you wake up with a headache in the morning. The quality of cleaning of public areas has sharply deteriorated. The toilets on the first floor are frankly dirty, there are stains on the floor and walls, especially in the area of ​​the urinals, and an unpleasant smell. The napkins offered for wiping hands after washing are of poor quality. The hotel clearly needs repairs and renovation. And, for starters, improved management.

Let me talk about the hotel booking first. The booking was for 8/19, and it cannot be changed on 8/10. Whether you stay or not, you have to pay the room fee. Normally, there is no problem, but if there is force majeure, such as flight cancellation due to weather, the loss is all the guests, and the hotel has no loss. I provided proof of the airline's weather reasons, but the negotiation was fruitless, and I lost one day's room fee. The funniest thing is that I booked 4 nights, and I have to stay for the remaining 3 nights, and I can't refund it. If I don't stay, I will be deducted directly. Is this an overlord clause? I don't know how Ctrip negotiated the agreement with the hotel and the agent. Are foreign hotels so strong? I hope that domestic customers will not be taken advantage of. Ctrip still needs to improve in this regard. Of course, Ctrip's customer service attitude is still good, actively communicated, and finally gave 100 yuan in compensation. Let's talk about the hotel itself. The hotel is in the downtown area, relatively close to the square and shopping center, and you can walk there. But the room is a bit small. The deluxe room is 33 square meters, but there is only one room, one bathroom and one cupboard. I estimate it to be about 28 square meters (room and bathroom 5x5 + 3 square cupboard and bathtub). The facilities are relatively simple. The basin is relatively small overall. The bathtub is a bit narrow and not wide enough. People who are a little fat can't move around. The sound insulation is poor. The sound of various cars on the road at night can be heard clearly. The breakfast is very Western style, which Chinese people may not be used to. There are many varieties of cheese, various sweet local cakes and fruits, which I feel I can't eat. Compared with the room rate of nearly 1,000 yuan a day, I feel that the cost performance is indeed not high. I have to question whether I will stay here next time❓

Overall, everything is great: location, cleanliness and, most importantly, very hard-working staff. There is perhaps only one downside - it is a converted Soviet hotel, with small, uncomfortable elevators, standard Soviet layout, etc.

The location of the hotel is very good. It is opposite the train station and it is very convenient to walk to the high-speed rail station. The high-speed train departs at 8:30, so I can wake up at 8 and have breakfast in time. Arrived at 9 pm, the hotel also served dinner, which was large and delicious at an affordable price. There are also local restaurants near the hotel, as well as several Chinese restaurants that have been open for many years, supermarkets, department stores, train stations, subway stations, banks, TV stations, good local restaurants, and a train museum. Life and travel are very convenient. We usually hold meetings and discussions in the hotel’s coffee shop without paying extra. It’s also very convenient to make appointments with people to talk about things. There are basically no Chinese who don’t know this hotel. The hotel has a basketball court and a plastic track. When the weather is nice, you can go for a walk. If you want to use a car or use a translator, contact the hotel one day in advance. Sister Jia will make proper arrangements. The service is considerate and full of praise.

The hotel room is quite big and the sheets are washed. Unfortunately, the bathroom is a little smaller. Breakfast is quite rich. 15 to 20 minutes walk from the subway station. The service staff was good. When I left, I helped to call a local taxi to the train station. The price was cheap. Because there is no good communication, the taxi driver refused to collect our car money, saying that he did not collect cash, and we did not have to pay the money in the owner's card. We can't get off the bus. When we arrive at Buhari, we will call the boss to see how to pay him back. The boss said that we don't have to worry. He will pay the driver on his mobile phone and say that there is not much money. Since we can't come back to pay, we won't charge us. Wow, it's so good people. I will come back next time I have a chance.

Great place for transfer, for 1 day. We arrived in Tashkent in transit, the cost of renting a storage cell was almost 4 times more expensive than a room in this hotel. It's the best place to leave your things and relax. There is an ATM and a great cafe nearby. Facilities on the floor, a sink in the room. Disposable sets for cleaning teeth and slippers. Friendly staff. We arrived at 10 am, check-in is from 2 pm. We paid extra for early check-in and got a room within 20 minutes. There is a small garden in the yard, beautiful lilacs. Of the minuses, the bed is a bit hard and it was a bit cold.

The room is very good and the location is also very good, next to citymall. I booked a king-size bed room and the front desk gave me a standard room. When I went to change it, they said the computer was messed up. The shower room was not replenished with bath gel in time.
