Sagebrush Inn & Suites

I see that some people don’t enjoy the rustic appeal of this historic hotel. We do appreciate the value of the history. The new section is very modern, and I believe one can reserve those rooms if desired. We stayed in rm 101, right off the old patio. The cantina has good musicians every night. Our group held a conference there, and the event managers were terrific. They managed to feed 80 people very successfully. There were minor hiccups with special dietary restrictions but they worked quickly to correct them. Lou and Edie work very hard at customer service.
Best Western Rivers Edge

This was our second visit to this hotel. We absolutely love it here. Very nicely decorated room, the crashing river, only feet below your deck, walking distance to the entire town, what a gem. And don't forget that personally cooked breakfast, you don't get that at many hotels. Super friendly staff keep the place clean and well maintained. And, as a bonus, you can sit around the firepit next to the river at night and relax. This place is a winner in my book.
Taos Valley Lodge

We spent 1 night here and what a great choice we made ! This seems to be what was once a motel at one time or another. The current owner has done an incredible job on bringing the room we stayed in and the lobby up to 2024. The improvements have been done really well. This is a quiet, safe area. We all slept well had no problem getting back in the car to start our site seeing. You park outside our room door. A couple of things I want to mention for our fellow travelers. The Rio Grande Bridge is about 4 miles from the hotel. It's an easy find. We were excited about visiting the Taos Pueblo however, it was closed due to a funeral. Kit Carson's home & Museum didn't open until 11. So off we went to the next stop. Albuquerque. I will also mention that the GPS directions couldn't get us to the hotel. Thankfully a young lady there talked us through all of the construction, street closures to finally arrive. The town is undergoing major road construction. Thank goodness for the Valley Lodge for having someone who could direct us .
Old Taos Guesthouse B&B
4.7/591 Reviews
This is absolutely one of the best B&Bs I have ever stayed at! It is a 7-acre property with lots of little areas to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The owners are so nice and friendly and provide so many extra perks. Each room is unique and we loved ours. It was clean, the bed was good with comfortable bedding. The complementary breakfast is 5-star with homemade hot and cold items each morning...and every morning is different. It's not in the old town area but is less than a two mile drive through some nice neighborhoods. We only stayed two nights and it felt like it wasn't enough to enjoy this gem. If you need to relax and unwind, this space is definitely one to check out. If you'll be doing sightseeing, maybe just add a day to enjoy the peace and quiet. And be sure to read the story about how the current owners took over for the previous ones. It's quite heartwarming.
Hacienda Del Sol

We stayed in the Cowboy Room at the historic Hacienda Del Sol May 12-14, 2021. This property is so beautiful and tranquil. Rooms are adorned in Santa Fe style! We had a signed authentic painting done by Georgia O'Keefe in our room! I really enjoyed not having a TV in the room, it was not necessary, instead we enjoyed the grounds, bird watching and overall vibe of this property! Zach and Leslie are amazing hosts that go out of their way to make the stay comfortable. The breakfasts that we had were the best! We enjoyed homemade pancakes and huevos rancheros! Now don't expect the cookie cutter hotel chains, this is not! We thoroughly recommend this property and give it a 10/10! Oh also don't forget to eat at the restaurant next door called Love Apple! It is so good! It is right next door so you can walk to it, but make sure you make reservations, because it fills up quickly.
Super 8 by Wyndham Taos

Front desk said we would be charged $35 to check in 30 minutes early. That's ridiculous enough alone. But when it was actually time to check in, we had to wait an extra 30 minutes because the six maids were gathered together at the front desk... I guess they were protesting something? No acknowledgement of the disparity once we were finally permitted to get to our room. Hallways were filthy. No 'do not disturb ' or 'please make up room' sign. Instead, there was a door hanger saying to either hang up towels or put them on the floor if you don't want to reuse. This did, logically, imply there would be daily cleaning. There was a nearly used up toilet paper roll on the dispenser. No spares. One tiny bar of hard soap. Along with tiny shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. We checked in TWO ADULTS for FOUR days. ... There are costs listed if certain items came up missing at the end of the stay. Such as the (already missing) coffee pot, alarm clock, soap dish, coffee pot tray... and a price listed by each thing. Staff was indifferent and dismissive whenever we asked about anything. The main guy walked around in slippers at any and all times of day. Came up with excuses for not having orange juice for days... This morning, before checkout, we expected (I don't know why!) breakfast items to be available by 6:00 am, as is written. There were other people at the front desk when we came in, already waiting for overdue coffee and food. The usual front desk guy poked his head around a corner saying 'it's coming.' Eventually, after about an hour and a half past time, breakfast was available. There was one younger staff helper we saw briefly who was helpful. The bed itself was comfortable. We mentioned to a few locals where we were staying, and received reactions about the safety of the place. Now we understand. I can't believe this is affiliated - at all - even budget - with Wyndham.
