Casa Aricò & Shatulle Suites

Very nice guesthouse run by Lucas. First of all, the location is ideal because it is just 3 minutes from the main street of Taormina but without the hustle and bustle and quiet. The building that houses the rooms of this house has been very nicely renovated. The name "art house" takes on its full meaning from the entrance. Indeed, not a single corner of the establishment without works of art, of all styles, quite eclectic but very refined. We had booked the suite with terrace, just sublime, the decoration is also very refined, the pleasant terrace offers a lovely view of Taormina and the sea. The bedding is quality. Breakfast included with the room is delicious, prepared by Gabriella who is incredibly kind (one tiny downside: no fresh orange juice). Lucas sends you a list of places to visit and especially his favorite restaurants as soon as you leave your review. We tried a few of them and they were all perfect, thank you very much for these recommendations. Unfortunately for us, the house has a very pleasant lounge on the top floor overlooked by a magnificent rooftop (which we were able to see on the first day when we moved in) but then without much explanation the access was blocked, which in turn condemned us to stay in our room even though one of the reasons for our reservation in this house was to be able to have access to this rooftop. So we wrote to Lucas to tell him about it and the only response was there is a problem I'm sorry! This put a damper on our overall review which otherwise would have been perfect and 5*
