The service downstairs is not as good as that of Grand Belmond upstairs. Maybe it's because the mountain is a pedestrian street, and the prices for meals are very affordable. The transportation downstairs is not convenient, and it's close to the beach. The hotel service and dining are very different.

I didn’t stay at this hotel, I stayed down the beach at The Mazzarò Sea Palace. I had dinner twice-have to say if you are traveling solo they treat you like a step child and it’s a crime to be solo. The host kept reminding me I was alone and attempted to coach me on ny menu selections; “that is too much for you alone”. Furthermore, they completely forgot my desert order-not 4 star service but the food is exceptionally good.

Beautiful hotel with best in class staff. After some less stellar hotels on a trip through Italy and an extremely long travel day, arriving here felt like a miracle between beautiful rooms with incredible views, great food at Brace, and the most welcoming team onsite. checking out was hard - we did not want to leave!!

If anyone is planning to visit Taormina during the summer, this is the place to be. By the seaside, enjoying a drink and served by the best staff in town!! Luxury at its finest without the attitude that you would usually have to cope with at some hotels. Food, people, weather have infused us with a general feeling of "dolce vita" that will last for months, until next time.

We only stayed here our last night and instantly regretted not staying here the entire time. Already planning our return! From the minute you arrive, you step into the most beautiful spot. The beach is beautiful, pool views are incredible and the hospitality is top tier. We had the most incredible seaside lunch with fresh lobster pasta. The breakfast spread has the most fresh cheeses and Italian breakfast items. This is worth the splurge and you deserve the best things. It is pricey but worth it! Thank you for the hospitality VA, we’ll be back!

When booking ask for lots of detail on your room. We booked a class of room which was described as being “from 20metres square”. It must have been barely that - and that included the bathroom. Outside the bed, there was hardly room in the bedroom, and the bathroom would grace a studio flat in an inner city. The shower tray was c0.3m - in other words hard to use if you weighed more than 50 kilos. Acceptable in mid level hotels, but here we were paying ＞€1500 per night. The food is professional and acceptable - but given the premium prices, you would expect much more.

Had a single day only to enjoy Taormina, luckily stumbled into the newly relaunched beach club of Villa Sant'Andrea. Pricey - yes slightly - but you get the best spot on the beach - excellent service and drinks - all handled by a lovely gentleman Mr. Alessandro - who took great care of us. We also had a fabulous meal overlooking the water - very decent pizzas and other dishes. Will stay overnight next time...
