The service downstairs is not as good as that of Grand Belmond upstairs. Maybe it's because the mountain is a pedestrian street, and the prices for meals are very affordable. The transportation downstairs is not convenient, and it's close to the beach. The hotel service and dining are very different.

Luxury comfort
The hotel, location, size , professional staff, all made our stay fantastic. The pizza at the pool bar was the best we had all over Italy!
My only negative was the price of wines by the glass, and it seemed that unless you specify a particular price range (which I learned quickly to do) they poured a very pricey option, $25-30/glass!

Great staff, fantastic location
Excellent service. Some things weren’t right but the hotel staff went out of their way to make sure things were fixed as soon as possible. Everyone was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Fairy tale trip
This was our first trip to Taormino and everything was wonderful. The hotel is beautiful and perfectly situated on the Ionian Sea. The town is cute and fun to walk around. The hotel staff was wonderful and very welcoming.

Birthday trip
My husband and I stayed at Belmond Santa Andrea in Taormina to celebrate my birthday. The property is in a prime location, beautiful views throughout. Room service is amazing, restaurants are ok.
Staff is friendly, some are a little serious/ pretentious. Rooms are outdated and restrooms are in desperate need of a renovation. There is mold in the shower’s. Not the best belmond property we’ve stayed at. Definitely room for improvement.
Wouldn't stay here again unless renovated. The staff at belmond timeo are better trained and food is much better up there as far as restaurants and bar.
