Let's start with the pros. The hotel's location is okay, right next to the cable car and viewpoint, and both are within walking distance. The cons are that the room type I was given was not the one I booked, and it was completely different from the room photos. The triple room felt like a makeshift third bed, and the balcony was to the side. There was no exclusive beach, and it felt a bit like a B&B. If you drive, you need to reserve a parking space, but I recommend parking at the hotel, otherwise it would be really difficult to drag your luggage up the mountain road.

I have never had such a bad check-in experience. On the first day, the room with a terrace had no windows and only a door. After the night owl on the terrace left, the room smelled like urine because there was no smell. No free mineral water is provided, and the electric kettle is full of scale and dust. I changed to a room with a window the next day, but the dust and electric kettle were still full of dust. The toilet was old and poorly ventilated. The shower gel hung on the wall and fell off. It was such a cheap four-star hotel. You have to walk up a slope to enter the hotel, which is very inconvenient. The boss at the front desk has a tough attitude and doesn't let the guests have a chance to speak. When checking out, we have to wait 20 minutes for a rental. We almost missed the train and were charged an extra day of city construction tax. , we are in a foreign land and do not dare to argue with the locals. We can only use Ctrip’s platform to appeal after leaving the hotel, asking the platform to strengthen the supervision or experience of recommended hotels, so as to prevent users from stepping into pitfalls and being deceived as much as possible.

Second stay. It is the first choice for Taormina accommodation. Convenient transportation. Delicious breakfast. Beautiful, clean and quiet environment. The staff are very enthusiastic. If my family and I go to Taormina for the third time, we will definitely choose here again.

We had a last minute change with my husband and my father (52, and 83) to Taormina and so it was a challenge with very little prep time where to stay in a vertical place with my elderly father who is in good shape but challenged by long walks, inclines and extreme heat. We did it all-- close to the bus station (4 minutes), Corso Umberto (8 minutes), the Antico Teatrico and the view cannot be beat. There's souvenir shops and a mini mart within 4 minutes walk and the cable car is also only 5 minutes away. My husband and I enjoyed the pool and the views. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast the next morning before leaving. No one could be more helpful or nicer in this hotel.
CONS: It's a steep driveway to climb up and down for the elderly. Watching my dad in either direction was a little dicey and with his blood thinners I did not want him to take a spill.
PROS: Everything else.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. It is mid range and a solid choice with clean (if dated) rooms, lovely staff, plentiful breakfast, great location and a super pool. Car park can be booked and is cheaper than those close by. Easy walk into town and restaurants (despite steep drive at first!). My only gripe is pool not opening until 11 (although some manage to sneak in!).

Positives: Good location - although not suitable for anyone with mobility issues Nice look/feel of hotel. Old world, quiet Very comfortable beds and pillows Some friendly staff (porters, pool, cleaners) Nice pool area Limited but solid breakfast Negatives: Staff could use some customer service training. One particular member at reception is plainly rude unfortunately which soured the stay a little.. Pool food options- very limited. Just pizza or panini. The dining here could use an update Breakfast - again some staff here whilst friendly could use some customer service training I would have awarded 4 if it were not for the couple of episodes of rudeness experienced

Very nice, homely and traditional hotel in a fantastic position. Comfortable, clean room with a balcony and fabulous views. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a very steep walk from the hotel to the road, but the town is only a short walk away. Breakfast limited, but adequate. I do not recommend eating dinner at the hotel- the food is not good at all. We noticed several people complaining about the food and sending it back. My partner ordered pork and was served chicken: however the waiter insisted it was pork! There are plenty of good restaurants in the town though. Stick to bed and breakfast!
