This trip to Italy is the best hotel I have ever done. It is very good. The facilities for living on the cliff are very clean, and the rooms are huge. There is a standard swimming pool, which is a good choice when going out for fun. The hotel also very quiet

It's very beautiful. The hotel is located in the middle of the mountain. It takes only 10 minutes to walk to the classics.
The hotel in Taormina is an old city, and the hotel is a bit old, but the hotels on the island are relatively similar.

Eurostars Monte Tauro as a single star for "4 Star Hotel..." The location has a STEEP walk for treacherous to reach the hotel. The concierge was RUDE and NOT HELPFUL. The breakfast is poor, and the coffee is not drinkable. The 1980’s Soviet Era architecture is (literally) falling apart. STAY AWAY

They put me in a room w “ view “ Of rocks and dense trees. As a single traveler… the prejudice you and DO NOT accommodate better rooms. I called to be moved… only to be told they accommodate couples for better rooms! Maybe move tomorrow. This is absurd! I paid, as a single traveler, double the price, for a room w a view of dense trees and rocks and part of a cliff. NO Mediterranean. NO pool view. This is a sham and a farce.

Amazing view, good rooms, comfortable beds. The breakfasts were great, always an abundance of food. Staff is super friendly and go out of their way to assist in any way needed. This hotel is a bit dated and can use some updating but we have it a 5 star anyway because of its location, cleanliness and staff. The pool was a great addition not many hotels in this area have pools. Taormina is steps away, everything is so close to this hotel - note that to access this hotel you need to go down and up a steep slope - 37 steps dont’t forget anything before you leave. We would definitely go back and we highly recommend this place.

I was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews about what to expect, but this is the first hotel we both agreed that we would most definitely come back to. Location is perfect - 5 minutes walk into the stunning town and there’s a beautiful view from the pool. There is a slope to walk up into town but it’s fine if you don’t have any mobility issues and all of Taormina is built on a cliff so there are lots of slopes/ hills and the streets are uneven but incredibly beautiful - so it’s probably not the best choice if you need level surfaces. The hotel is over 50 years old and has not been modernised - but that is part of its charm and it was spotlessly clean with helpful staff. My only slight improvement would be a more modern hairdryer but the rest felt very authentic. Breakfast had a great selection and the granita was fab! We will most definitely be back!

The hotel is built on a cliff with amazing views from the balcony and a location in the centre of town, if you cannot manage hills - the hotel, Taormina and most of the area won’t be for you as the area is mountainous. We had no issue with our luggage being dropped off or picked up at the hotel door. We found our room to be four star standard, spacious and very clean, there are no irons in the hotel therefore would recommend a travel iron if needed. The hotel staff were always friendly and breakfast had a good variety. The pool area was clean and never any issue getting sun beds or towels. The location is hard to beat and the views are worth staying here for!

I must admit we went to this hotel with some trepidation after the poor reviews We were pleasantly surprised and really don’t know what people expect! Yes it’s a steep hill down to the hotel from the road, but it’s a short way and worth it for the views. It’s a typical old fashioned Italian hotel. The rooms are big with plenty of wardrobe space and hangers. Massive comfy bed and big bathroom with good amenities. The balcony with stupendous views had comfy chairs and a big table. Rooms were cleaned to a high standard every day Breakfast wasn’t typically Italian. There was a huge choice of fruit, yogurt, ham, cheese, bacon, eggs and pastries and the coffee was delicious. We were greeted with a happy “Bon giurno” every morning The pool guys were pleasant and friendly and came immediately with towels as soon as we chose our sun beds (which were always available at any time of day). What’s not to like? Taormina is a buzzing very busy place and it was a pleasure to return to this lovely hotel every evening after a lovely meal in the resort I would recommend this hotel to anyone
