The pictures do not provide the grandor and richness of this property. The palace has been restored and renovated to a Four Season palace fit for a King or Queen. The staff are warm with Sicilian charm, the property boasts artwork, gardens and beautiful seaviews. The food is wonderful and within a few steps you are in the heart of Taormina to enjoy the food, shopping and history. What can we say? We will return to this paradise. Six stars would not be enough, this is luxury done right.

I had the most amazing facial ever at the Botanica Spa. I had to write a review about the amazing service, from the welcome by the front desk lady to the Purifying facial provided by Oksana. She was amazing and complimented my skin which I love to hear. I have had facials all over the world and just had one in June at the #1 Spa in St Barths at The Christopher hotel - Sisley Spa and this facial treatment can’t compete with Oksana’s facial at the 4 seasons, Taormina. I look forward to staying and getting another facial next year. Hopefully with Oksana again.

We had 5 magical days at this wonderful hotel. The decor, food, service and general atmosphere were impossible fault in anyway. The setting overlooking the Ionian Sea, Taormina and Mount Etna just spectacular. The tranquility in the gardens, courtyards and by the pool make it the best place to relax and recharge one's batteries. A very special hotel.

We just returned from the San Domenico Palace and had the most amazing vacation in Taormina. The hotel is exquisite from the gardens, to the infinity pool and restaurants. Our family was in connecting Sea View with Terrace rooms; the balconies faced a picturesque view of the ocean that we enjoyed thoroughly. This was a very relaxing trip thanks to the EXCEPTIONAL service provided by the staff! They knew our names and provided the most personalized, friendly and outstanding service. Dario managed the pool area, which is beautifully decorated by Dolce & Gabbana and took care of us daily. Denise was so friendly and helpful - she coordinated our Pasta Masterclass at the hotel with Chef Webert Williamson and saw to every detail being perfect. The class was held in one of the Four Seasons kitchens where we learned to make 3 different types of pastas. Chef Webert was kind, skilled and patient in teaching amateurs how to create home made pasta. The Concierge was instrumental in booking restaurants and transportation in a timely manner. Our driver, Ignazio, was knowledgeable about Italy and made the ride to and from the airport relaxing and informative. Every single member of the staff provided exceptional and friendly service and although this is what you expect at the Four Seasons, they went way above and beyond exceptional. We cannot wait to return!

We were staying in a nearby hotel and asked our concierge to make a drinks reservation for two people at San Domenico. It was apparently not possible to book but we were advised to arrive at 4.00pm and no later than 6.00pm as the hotel gives priority to its own guests which is perfectly reasonable! We were also told that the minimum spend was €100, again reasonable. Unfortunately, on arrival at the gate at 4.00pm we were told the bar was full and to book in advance. We said we had already tried to do this? What a disappointment and miscommunication as we had been very interested to spend time and money in the hotel but obviously not meant to be 🙁
