Lovely small place, centrally located to the old town. Huge room and bathroom with wonderful toiletries. Bed was super comfortable. Windows opened. Excellent service. Charming place. It is upstairs from the street, thus you need to be able to walk up a flight or two of stairs. Loved it. We would stay there again.

Location strepitosa staff professionale e attento a soddisfare ogni nostra richiesta e soprattutto ottimo cibo !!! Tutto perfetto torneremo sicuramente in questo posto !!! Consigliatissimo !!! Una cosa ci tenevo a dirla …. C è ne sono pochi direttori come quello che ho conosciuto in questa struttura!!! Davvero complimenti Direttore Gegnacorsi !!!

I was in Taormina in 1999. I thought it was a very cool place. This is not what I remembered, as it was much quieter then, but it is still such an amazing spot. When I looked for places to stay, this looked good online. It was not just good, it was fantastic. This is a small hotel. There are a limited number of rooms, I believe 12. When you walk in the door, they know your name. Salvatore in particular, who was at the front desk many of the evenings I was at the hotel made some great recommendations for restaurants. I wish I knew the guy that was there in the morning, but he helped me figure out some of things I wanted to do. Rooms were tidy and there was turndown service. I only ate dinner at the hotel one night, but the restaurant is fantastic. The breakfast at the hotel is one of the better that I have had. There is a small spread, but it's serve to order, and the dishes are unique and delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The views from the place are fantastic, if only it didn't rain so much when I was there. But I can't hold Palazzio Vecchio to that!!

The staff was exceptional. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The hotel is gorgeous and our suite had a stunning view of the Ionian Sea. The mattress was wonderfully comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. I loved seeing Andrea every morning. However, I would skip the restaurant, it was disappointing. There are many other great restaurants in Taormina. I highly recommend the Palazzo Vecchio.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. The location is in the heart of Taormina. The hotel is near the duomo, but set slightly off the Corso Umberto, so it’s quiet. The lounge and the dining room look like they’re from a Merchant Ivory film set. The roof top bar is a must, with the best views of sea and city. All staff members are extremely professional, friendly and very attentive. Miriam, Andrea, Francesco, and Nick are great. Made to order breakfast included a varied menu and was delicious.

Truly, a five star experience. It was better than we hoped for. It is right in the middle of all the action but, miraculously, peaceful inside. We had one of the greatest breakfast experiences of all time. The staff was so kind and helpful. The desk was always well staffed and people were eager to help. It’s in a pedestrian only area, but the bell captain waited for our car and took our luggage up to the hotel. We were impressed with our large room, modern bathroom, and the very comfortable bed. Good climate control. I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Taramina.

Tout est parfait, le service, les chambres, la salle de bain, les produits de confort, la vue sur la mer. Pour couronner cela le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel. Un bémol, pour trouver l’hôtel, en voiture, c’est compliqué. Il faut appeler et se laisser guider. On se charge de vous garer la voiture dans un parking. N’y touchez plus pendant votre séjour. Les rues sont minuscules ou piétonnières.

Palazzo Vecchio a Taormina non è un albergo è un'esperienza che se non si prova non si può comprendere. Dalle immagini si può intuire l'innegabile bellezza: quella della posizione ( centralissima ), quella delle stanze dagli arredi curati, quella degli spazi comuni… ma manca il meglio. Non si può percepire il panorama che vedi anche quando sei a letto ( dal mare all'Etna ) o il tramonto che ti avvolge sulla terrazza mentre sorseggi un buon vino siciliano ascoltando dell'ottima musica. Puoi vedere le foto dell'elegante ristorante Monsù o degli invitanti piatti, ma non puoi coglierne i sapori ed i profumi ( dal pane appena sfornato alla brioche calda con granita ). Ma soprattutto quello che si deve provare è l'accoglienza da parte di tutti: da Salvo sempre allegro che ti aiuta portando i bagagli lungo il corso salutando tutti ( facendoti tornare indietro nel tempo come in un film degli anni sessanta ); Miriam, Claudio e Antonio alla reception, sempre disponibili e sorridenti che risolvono ogni tuo problema ( da quello logistico a dove trovare i migliori cannoli o arancini ). Alla prima colazione a “coccolarti” ci pensano Francesco Andrea e Armando, che tra consigli e aneddoti ti fanno sentire a casa; così come al ristorante, dove lo chef Giuseppe ti fa assaporare tutto: dalle nuove ricette sperimentali a quei gusti che ti riportano indietro nel tempo ai pranzi della domenica dai nonni. Dunque c'è poco da dire, la bellezza di Palazzo Vecchio sta in quello che ti fa vivere grazie alla professionalità di ogni singola persona, dalla prima all'ultima, che collaborando in totale armonia danno vita alla tua indimenticabile vacanza. L’atmosfera di Palazzo Vecchio, quella che Stefano ( direttore e non solo…) è riuscito a creare con la sua innegabile esperienza ma soprattutto con il suo grande cuore, ha dato vita ad una vera e propria famiglia che ti accoglie e non vorresti più lasciare se non pensando a quando ritornerai la prossima volta. A TRULY EXCELLENT HOTEL Taormina is a town where you see over-heated day trippers walking side-by-side with the super-rich. One might be 'on a budget' and the other might sport a handbag that cost more than a year's wages for a local worker, as they peruse the top-end designer shops which dot the main street. But what about those of us rooted somewhere in the middle? We are looking forward to a holiday that is special, of which we will have fond memories, but we don't want to stay in a hotel that is starchy and 'grand' and the preserve of multi-millionaires. This is where Palazzo Vecchio comes into its own. It is a recently converted palazzo in a perfect location in the centre of the old town but just far enough away from the hubbub to be quiet. The refurb was clearly expensive and high-end but has kept a sense of fun with Moorish/Arabesque flourishes throughout. The rooftop bar is a must, with stunning views of Mount Etna at sunset, an imaginative cocktail list, very helpful knowledgeable staff, and an excellent DJ who knew to play toe-tapping classic pop songs along with up-the-minute contemporary music. The other guests were 'normal' people from all walks of life who were clearly not 'hard up' but neither were they the designer super-rich (I am not against people being rich, but you know what I mean - they are not necessarily fun, are they?). Every guest at the Palazzo Vecchio was definitely enjoying themselves as much as we were. Our room was stylish, spacious and constantly kept clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and informative, and yes, of course that is their job, but is it their job to walk you to the taxi rank, carry your bags, and make sure you are setting off safely? Apparently it is. In a nutshell, this hotel is special enough to be a delight, but small enough to not be impersonal. Fun, but classy decor, and did I mention the DJ and the cocktails?
