I will come back to finish my trip

Since mu friend and I did a hiking trip, we walked to this accommodation. I think it would be better to drive or taking bus to there instead of walking. I really appreciate the outdoor onsen. The hotel is very close to the bus stop that taking us to our next hiking point, just a few minutes walk. There are some attractions nearby, like the big figure hanging on the bridge. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to visit them. If you’re staying here, you should arrive earlier and take a look at the surroundings. The front desk staff can speak Mandarin. So if you are a Chinese, you will find it easier to communicate. The hotel is very clean, because you need to change shoes everywhere.

A little bit disappointed on dinner and breakfast, it wasn’t traditional Japanese hot spring dinner/breakfast setup.

The hotel was good overall, and the staff were the highlight in general. We only encountered one issue which was when we called reception in the early evening and the guy on the phone panicked due to a lack of English and hung up. The staff we met on reception in the day were fantastic. Additionally, the outdoor mixed Onsen is a nice feature, as it allowed for my wife and I to relax by the river together rather than being separated.

The room is very nice, a Japanese-style room with 8 tatami mats, very spacious, the hot spring is a bit small, there were not many people during my stay so it was not too cramped, the experience was good. The meal was average, but you can definitely eat enough. There were a lot of people on the last morning, and it was a bit noisy... The service was very good, the shuttle was convenient, and the location was pretty good, but there were not many buses stopping at Kawayu every day. If you are nearby, you can ask the hotel if there is a shuttle bus. If you want to take the bus far away, you have to plan your time~

We booked a Japanese-style room. Although the room was a bit old, it was very clean. The hotel's hot springs were also very good, the service was very friendly, and the Chinese service was well received!

When I was soaking in the wild hot spring, there was no one around, and when the steam was thick, I looked back and saw n big eyes looking at me, my heart was about to jump out, and then they didn't turn their butts, and the snow-white balls jumped away. I visited the hotel after visiting the main shrine. Dinner was a buffet style, so it was a little unsettling, but the hotpot buffet was fun. The open-air bath by the river was simply built, and you could feel the nature. I was given a spacious corner room, so I was able to stay comfortably.

The open-air mixed bathing bath is good, and yukatas are provided for men and women to go out in! The dinner is semi-buffet style, and the beef is very good (you can add it in the buffet)! There is a female customer service who can speak English (but the service is average). If you have large items, please note that you have to move up and down several flights of stairs before there is an elevator😮💨

If you come to Kumano Kodo, you can't miss Kawayu Onsen! The hotel room is very large. Although the facilities are relatively old, it is clean and tidy. Dinner is a buffet. You can choose three times: 6:00, 6:30 and 7:30. The waiter will come to make the bed during dinner. Dinner has to be said to be beyond expectations. I tasted barbecue, oden, sukiyaki, and kamameshi at one time, and the quality of wagyu barbecue is very good, not inferior to the barbecue restaurants outside! The oden soup is also very delicious. After dinner, you can go to the hot spring. The indoor hot spring pool is separated by men and women, and you need to soak naked. The open-air public bath is mixed for men and women, but the hotel will provide special open-air bath yukatas, so you don't need to bring a swimsuit. The room has a river view. The breakfast on the second day is relatively average. After breakfast, take the hotel shuttle bus to the Prince of the Heart Gate. You need to make an appointment at the front desk the night before. There are three time periods of 8, 9, and 10 to choose from, so you don't have to catch the bus.

I came here on foot for the Nakabe Road to the Prince's Gate. I got off the JR Kii Tanabe bus and changed to the bus to the hotel. I have to pay attention to the time of getting off the bus. The journey takes more than an hour. There will be no bus if you are late. In addition, the hotel has a car that can take you to the Prince's Gate on the Nakabe Road on the Kumano Kodo for free. You can make a reservation at the front desk one night in advance. This time I booked a tatami room with one morning and one night. At dinner time, a waiter will come to help lay the tatami. Dinner is a buffet. I recommend beef and stream fish. The quality of beef is very good. The stream fish can be heated in the pot by yourself, and the taste is better. The outdoor hot spring is just downstairs by the river. There are two pools and mixed pools. There are also separate pools for men and women indoors. If you want to go out to soak in the outdoor mixed pool, you can wear the yukata prepared in your bathroom. There is also an open-air free pool not far from the hotel. You can also ask the front desk to borrow a shovel to dig hot springs by the river. The experience is great! After the hot spring, there are also a lot of local oranges (it seems to be the origin of oranges, very sweet). The guests are not only Chinese, but also Japanese who come here for vacation. The overall feeling is very good.
