Our trip to JW Marriott Khao Lak was amazing.
the rooms, the swimming pools, the beach, the service were top notch.
easy to reach from Phuket airport (1.30h by car), it's an oasis of happiness, where kids can run free and parents don't feel guilty to disturb other guests (because there are Adults' only areas).
SPECIAL MENTION to the RESTAURANTS. we have been always eating in the resort (although there are some local options on the beach beside the hotel), and we were stunned by the quality / variety and consistency of the good food we had. Indian, Thai, Japanese and an Italian that reminded me of Home.
We will come back for sure.

This place was changed temporarily, which was a pleasant surprise. It was very big, but it was raining, so I didn't want a swimming pool. I will consider it again if I have the chance in the future.

All the staff greet you with a smile and don't hesitate to help you if you need anything. The swimming pool is long and has a variety of pools, so it's great for playing. There's also cool water and fruit service next to the pool, and it was a good resort that 3 days and 2 nights just within the resort was too short.

Checking in on New Year's Eve, the hotel arranged a Chinese New Year buffet, a fireworks show on the beach, and you can watch the Spring Festival Gala in the room, which is very good. Stayed for three nights. There is no need to get up early in the morning. It is very convenient to go to Similan and Surin. The room with direct access to the swimming pool is a favorite of the children. They can jump into the swimming pool at any time. The tomahawk steak at Drift is also great.

The room was a bit small and cramped! It is a newly renovated villa! Especially the space on the second floor is cramped! The attitude of the Thai restaurant service staff is different, and the checkin staff is very friendly!

So first the positives: We had a swim up room and it was gorgeous. The staff are beyond friendly (as they are throughout Thailand). The food is great, but not cheap (nor the drinks). There are small beach cafes to the left of the hotel and the food there was amazing and very cheap. There's also a small shop just outside the entrance if you want to buy drinks or snacks. But, it's a huge hotel, very busy with little Thai character. Not great for couples as lots of kids. When we were there, a large wedding was taking place (which I think happens a lot) and the other guests were majorly disrupted to accommodate this (main sunbathing area reduced by half, restaurant areas closed off and like a building site as the wedding area was being created). The event lasts 4 days so not great. Overall we had a great holiday but will try another, quieter hotel on our next trip to Thailand.

Замечательное место! Были вдвоем год назад и решили вернутся с ребенком. Территория очень ухоженная, есть всё что нужно для отдыха, также и отдельная зона только для взрослых на пляже и у бассейна. Активности: пляжный волейбол, поле для футбола, на пляже можно бесплатно взять доску для сёрфа и сапа, каяк. Есть спортзал, в целом можно хорошо позаниматься, есть корт для сквоша и открытые корты для тенниса. Есть детская комната, иногда пользовались, очень довольны. Несмотря на то, что гостиница почти полностью загружена, проблем с лежаками нет совсем, в любой части территории. Завтрак очень разнообразный, приходили в разное время, стол всегда находился за несколько секунд. Еда вкусная во всех ресторанах, но в итальянском она особенная, также как и буфеты, которые организовывает шеф-повар Enzo, дегустация деликатесов это целое шоу! Мы очень много путешествуем и такое разнообразие свежих итальянских продуктов встречаем впервые. Так держать! Большое спасибо за чудесный отдых!
