The hotel is abandoned, the atmosphere is gloomy and would make a perfect setting for the Walking Dead series. The majority of rooms are unoccupied, the restaurant is closed. Breakfast hardly includes any fresh produce anymore. In the evening there is no receptionist, no guard and no light in the corridors. End of the world atmosphere guaranteed. The gym is old, the treadmill is out of order. The men's toilets at the reception are under maintenance and in a state to vomit. The false ceiling is gaping in places in the hotel, the air conditioning is rusty, the beach has become wild again with vegetation everywhere. There is no one around, the surrounding hotels are abandoned. The town of Khao Lak is also deserted with a few Burmese sellers. The entire seaside resort has suffered from covid and Thais no longer go there. The few tourists wander through a devastated city. Compared to the photos on the booking site, it’s a real scam. We left the place after night even though we had reserved and paid for two. I have to say this is by far the worst experience of a hotel reservation.
