I visited Khao Lak Devasom for my prenatal trip :)
I booked Khao Lak after only looking at one hotel!
The location is about an hour by taxi from Phuket Airport.
It's a long way to get into town, and there's nothing nearby, so the location isn't great. It's better for relaxation than sightseeing.

It was the best trip ever.
I used it for my proposal, and the room and the view from the room were lovely, and the staff welcomed me warmly.

We chose to stay here based on reviews and the fact that only Thai tourists rated it well. Upon arrival, the front desk staff were attentive, but it was a bit far to get to our room. The hotel is considered moderately old, but the color of the furniture adds a sense of grandeur.
Dinner was edible compared to restaurants outside Khao Lak. I recommend eating outside the hotel. Breakfast wasn't impressive; the bacon was rancid and greasy. Overall, it was just okay, but I stayed here to learn about the staff; they were friendly and welcoming.
