The location is very good, just in the center of the scenic spot, it is very convenient to go anywhere around. The hotel is very exquisite and elegant. The floor and walls of the bathroom are very textured with oversized tiles. The bedding is also very comfortable. The room gives 4 bottles of water. The breakfast is rich and clean. Very satisfied, next time I have the opportunity to come to Taiyuan and live here.

I booked a suite at Shanxi Hotel. Oh boy, what a stay!!! The hotel looks like a courtyard. The receptionist and the bellboy were all very cordial. They carried my luggage to the room for free. Our room was in another building so they advised us we could check out without coming back to the reception desk again. Just leave the keys in the room. The room was quite spacious with lots of amenities. I am very surprised they offer in-room laundry detergent and electric cloth dryer for hanging clothes. They consider every aspect of my stay and I would give them 5 out of 5 stars.

Good location, if you're in a room away from the noisy streets. Updated design, so some effort has gone in there. Staff is functional and perfunctory; things get done. Not the most efficient, not the most welcoming. In fact, the worst i have encountered on this trip, but not terrible. Reminds me of some inns I have stayed in in rural China. The one thing that makes this an absolute no-no is that despite the price I am paying, there is no air-conditioning. It is a central air-con system and they have deemed it is not warm enough to turn it on. Which makes the room a stuffy furnace. Advice was to turn on air purifier which is noisy through the whole night and doesn't really help. If I'm paying for a room, at least let me decide the room ventilation. If they want to sell to foreign guests, they should know this is a basic given as this is what we have come to expect in our hotel rooms. So, strongly advice: NO! As they say in social media: 别来踩这个坑！

Great location and they were all super nice. However the room was super hot and there is no AC. When we asked they brought up a portable unit but it wasn’t nearly enough to keep the room comfortable. If it’s winter it could be a great spot but definitely look elsewhere in the late spring and summer.

The check-in experience far exceeded expectations. The hotel is conveniently located, 5 minutes walk to the subway station, and the surrounding dining and shopping facilities are perfect. The front desk is efficient and professional, actively upgrades the room type and provides office equipment borrowing services. The room is excellent in soundproofing, the bedding is soft and comfortable, equipped with ergonomic chairs and high-speed WiFi. The breakfast is rich in variety, Chinese and Western self-service to meet diversified needs, and the business center is fully equipped. Special praise for the laundry room equipped with a dryer, which is a gospel for business travelers.

The hotel is in a good location, close to Food Street, Liuxiang, and Bell Tower Street, which is very convenient for shopping and eating. Parking is available in the backyard of the hotel, which is convenient for self-driving. Since the room I booked was on a lower floor, the room had a strong damp smell, poor ventilation, loose toilet lid, and average hygiene.

Excellent value for money, especially with the two-night group purchase. The room was spacious and spotless, the breakfast spread was generous, and the restaurant on the 26th floor offered panoramic views of Wuyi Square, Chunyang Palace, and the Shanxi Hotel. The hotel's location is superb, within easy walking distance of Liuxiang Street, Bell Tower Street, the Northern Qi Mural Museum, and the Twin Pagoda Temple. It's also just a 4-5 minute walk to Subway Line 1, and about a 30-minute drive to Taiyuan South Railway Station. The elevators, which I'd heard some complaints about, weren't as bad as I'd expected. The only minor inconvenience was the lack of floor indicators, which made waiting feel longer since you couldn't tell which floor they were on. However, during my two-day stay, they functioned perfectly fine. Overall, I am very satisfied with the hotel!

They also gave me souvenirs, which were very convenient to take with me. The hotel room is also very large. The shampoo and shower gel are all travel-sized. If you can't use them up, you can take them away! The room is spacious and the hygiene is in place. Every little corner is taken care of and it is cleaned very cleanly. There is also free afternoon tea in the afternoon, and the ice cream is also delicious~ The location is also very good, just near the train station, about 15 minutes walk away, the room price is more than 200, the cost performance is super high! I will come again next time~
