We stayed for 3 nights for a conference at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre, Direct MRT Only 4 stops from Tango hotel.
Got upgraded to a room with separate work desk and sitting area.
Easy to get to other parts of Taipei with 永春YungChun station. Local markets and eateries, massage parlour nearby. My wife enjoys more of Taipei while I am at the conference.
Pleasant stay.

Clean and big room. Daily cleaning and service recovery can be improved. Our toilet was clogged up and couldn't be used to shower because daily cleaning did not remove the hair. However hotel couldn't resolve the problem immediately at night as they didn't have engineering dept at work. There was also no service recovery for this incident.

This hotel is unique. It has history, a stunning composure, overwhelming entrance and could not be missed. The balcony is huge. The hotel corridors are wide, yet the room size is not overwhelmingly big. Despite the hisotry, the hotel has been well kept . Go visit the souvenir shop on the ground level next to the reception, you will find something unusual to bring home. .

Clean, cozy and friendly.
The building was very antique and historic place of the back in the days. Starbucks is in the ground floor, Carrefour is just across the sidewalk. And Ningxa night market is just 5-10 mins by foot (this is the main reason I choose here) , Taipei station is also close( But you have to take bus or taxi).
Staff were all friendly and helpful. Nice experience.

The room was not very clean, but the location of this hotel is good. Close to the MRT station and just opposite Ximending for shopping and eating. Room service was provided every day, which I thought was good. The laundry room is open from 10am to 10pm, which I thought was not very friendly, as we might do laundry after returning to the hotel at night. The hotel wifi is stable.

We stayed for four nights at Ximen Hotel in Ximending. While the location is excellent—right in the heart of the bustling district with easy access to shops, restaurants, and public transport—the overall experience left much to be desired.
The hotel building is old, and while our room was designated non-smoking, it had a lingering cigarette smell, which was unpleasant. The amenities were basic and average at best, and the price, though reasonable, did not compensate for the issues we encountered.
One major concern was that my wife got bitten by bed bugs on our last night, which was extremely disappointing and concerning. Additionally, the soundproofing was poor—we could hear street noise and sounds from other rooms, making it difficult to relax.
Overall, while the location is undeniably convenient, the lack of cleanliness, comfort, and adequate soundproofing means we would not book this hotel again.

In keeping with the concept of the Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel , the soul center of Taipei's young people, with the goal of providing guests with an elegant and stylish space and time in the city. As one of the most lively tourist areas in Taipei, Ximending has always been the cultural and fashionable home of the young people of Taiwan, with cinemas, cafes, fashionable clothing stores, and character peripheral stores and accessories. Not only the young people of Taipei, but also the tourists from all over the world can't miss this area in Taipei. In such a vibrant environment, Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Taipei Ximen has prepared a variety of rooms to meet the needs of guests of all backgrounds, including rooms with one bed, two small beds or three beds, all in modern Taiwanese style, so that travelers in such an almost overly busy environment can still have a quiet and comfortable space to rest. Upon the request of the Office of the President of Taiwan, some of the rooms have windows designed unable to have a clear view towards the office located to the southeast, views toward other angles could be viewed normally. For enviromental conservation, starting from January of 2025, as our first step in our contributions, the hotel will cease providing disposal amenities to guests according to Taiwan government regulations. We will only provide body soap, shampoo, conditioner, towels, slippers and bottle waters. Please have your personal amenities with you when visit, your cooperation and understanding will be greatly appreciated, Thank you.

The room is well decorated with a nice layout and an attention to details. The hotel doesn’t provide early check-in or late check-out for free, which is in line with most Japanese managed hotels but provides a good self storage area for our luggage, which is really handy. The location is convenient while relatively quiet. The only drawback is a slightly pungent odour from the toilet area whenever we get back from outside. And the room spray provided in the room surely helps in this regard. Will stay again.

At checkin, room was smelling of rotten milk, and it was very cold (18 Celsius). I asked the front desk to change room, they said no, they don’t have any rooms available (there are maybe 100 rooms on my floor alone…) When I told them it’s too cold, they said I should turn off the AC. I said it’s off, they said it must not be, they “advise” me to check again. I checked 3 times, turned it on and off. The front then said they will give me an extra blanket… not once did anyone come to the room to check the smell or AC themselves. Also, they don’t have heating at all, so I had to warm the room with my body temperature only… ***.
At night the pipes make noises, and the smell never went away. They also charge to store your luggage.
Very disappointed by the hotel cleanliness and service. It was so unaccommodating. They told me it’s a basement room, so the smell is normal. ***…
Room has mirrors in the ceiling. I think it’s love hotel.

I understood that the hotel location is in Xinmen night market center but check in time at 3 p.m. and check out time at 11 a.m. it doesn't make sense for guest because the previous hotel could check out till midday. As hotel location not easy to find and very important thing since I open the room door that it was very smelly from the smoke of cigarette which an absolutely I don't like it. The 2nd thing when I took a rest in room at approximately 4 - 6 p.m. it was very noisy from a construction in the same building even the hotel uncontrol but should be informe guest since check in.

Outstanding
CCharm-Room was amazing - huge and clean! Enjoyed the space, the automatic toilets with bidet, shower gels from Crabtree, ample towels, weighing machine, table, chair and sofa. Rooms are not really sound proof though, could hear sounds from other rooms but still tolerable.
Service - front desk was super helpful, friendly, joyful. Truly felt that their service was sincere and excellent!! They gave good recommendations for breakfast, helped me call to check restaurants if they had the food I was looking for, helped me with airport transfer booking. Service at the breakfast area was great too!
Breakfast - very Instagram worthy!!! Enjoyed the choices of drinks, mains were decent, the breads were really yummy. Looked forward to breakfast daily
Gym - was equipped with water and towels and even a bathroom. Very impressed.
The only downside is the location. It’s pretty near Zhongshan area but walking in the summer heat to the train station is no joke. Not a lot of yummy food around. But Uber is relatively affordable so if you’re ok with ubering around or walking slightly to the train station then it’s quite perfect.
MMui HuangI stayed at **Just Sleep Hotel Ximending** with my family from December 10th to 15th, and while it had its positives, there were a few aspects that would make me hesitate to stay here again. Here's a breakdown of our experience:
#### Location:
The location is definitely a highlight. The hotel is in the heart of **Ximending**, just a short walk from Ximending MRT station, making it convenient for exploring the area. You’re surrounded by shops, restaurants, and entertainment, so it's ideal if you want to be in the middle of the action.
#### Room:
We stayed in the **Superior Family Room**, which was spacious and comfortable for our family of four. The room had a modern design, with comfortable beds, a TV, a mini-fridge, and a desk. The bathroom was a bit tight, but it worked well for our needs. The shower had good water pressure, and everything was clean and in good condition.
#### Service:
The service was friendly and helpful. The staff at the front desk were always ready to assist with recommendations for local attractions and were prompt in fulfilling our requests for extra towels and pillows.
#### Amenities:
The **breakfast** was okay, but not impressive. The buffet had a basic selection of both Western and ********* breakfast items, but it became repetitive, and the quality could have been better. It was just enough to get by, but nothing memorable.
One issue that affected our stay was the **noise in the lobby at night**. It often felt like a social hangout spot, with a large group of people drinking beer and playing games. It wasn't always clear if all of them were hotel guests, and the noise was quite disruptive, especially for anyone trying to relax or sleep. If you're sensitive to noise, this might be a problem, as the lobby area gets pretty lively late into the night.
#### Overall Experience:
While **Just Sleep Hotel Ximending** offers great value for its central location and the rooms are generally comfortable, the noise from the lobby and the underwhelming breakfast left a bit of a negative impression. Based on this experience, **I probably wouldn't stay here again**. I would likely choose a hotel that's even closer to Ximending, with quieter surroundings and a better breakfast.
Would I recommend it? If you're looking for a budget-friendly hotel in Ximending and don't mind some noise in the evenings, it could work for you. But for a more peaceful stay, I’d recommend looking at other options.
AAnu13Hotel location is bit far from the downtown, but it was convenient for the business conference that I attended for the trip. Additionally, it was closer to the National Palace Museum, that I wanted to visit. Overall, location is clean, convenient and quiet. The service is fine, some of the hotel employees don't speak English, but they will find a way around by bringing someone who speaks in English. The only downside would be canceling the deposit on the room, which locks some amount of money from my account for few days, even after checking out and make sure everything is fine with their frontdesk.
GGuest UserHotel was recommended by an acquaintance. Location was very good with easy access to MRT Beimen station and Taipei main station on walking distance. Check-in went very smoothly but the hallway was too dark so it was difficult to find/read my room number! Except that the room was good with sufficient space and nice bed/bath and most importantly, no noise could be heard from other rooms. Breakfast was nothing spectacular but no complaints either.
GGuest UserThe same excellent service and hospitality as the first time I was here in the late 80s when it was still the iconic Lai Lai Sheraton. Thank you for going the extra mile to make my wife’s birthday memorable with the extra arrangements. Special mention goes to Ellen and the front desk team for taking great care of us.
GGuest UserLocation is good, a number of nice food and bubble tea options around the area, and even more of them within walking distance. Also walking distance from Taipei train station and MRT station. Room was clean and had nice touches like a full length mirror, universal power plug, smart tv that can play Youtube videos, interesting wall art (seems like each room has its own design, mine was the little mermaid). The window I had behind the bed faced the outside street. Overall happy with the place, would be happy to stay again.
AAnonymous UserI had a pleasant stay at City Suites Hotel, with its convenient location near Beimen Station! The only downside was the bathtub in the shower area, which was a bit tricky to climb in and out of and felt quite slippery. However, the staff was excellent—they were very willing to help when I requested a room change, and their service was great ✨✨✨
GGuest UserPros: Great location in central Taipei. The bedding was clean. Price was good. There is a common room with kitchen in the basement. The lockers were good to put your bags away in securely. Check out time of 11.30am was more generous than most places. The water in the showers was a good temperature.
Cons: The guy I got on the check in was curt to the point of rudeness. The toilet seat in the male dorm kept falling down, so you could stand peeing trying to hold it up or pee through the hole. Not ideal. Lots of mosquitoes in the basement. There are endless little signs telling you not to do certain things and that “violators” will be fined - this didn’t seem like the fun implied by the name “Fun Inn”. The toilets smelt like pee - quite possibly due to the aforementioned toilet seat issue.
KKateRoom is small with outdated furnitures and has some old building smells.
Overall the room is clean. Service from the front desk lady was not very friendly. No heater and felt cold in the room during the winter.
SsenibolsMe and my friends recently stayed at this hotel and really impressed by the excellent service and location. The staff were friendly and even allowed us to leave our baggages before check-in and after check-out time. The hotel is conveniently located, making it easy to explore nearby attractions and dining options especially in ximending area.
However, the amenities were somewhat limited and understandable due to their enviromental rules. The cleanliness was mostly good, but I did notice a few minor issues, like some left bottle under the bed. Rooms weren't very soundproof and could hear noises from neighboring room which made it harder to relax at times. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're looking for great service and a prime location, will def come back
