Hotels in Taipei Railway Station Area, Taipei

Located within walking distance from Taipei train station, exit 5. Lotsa convenience stores nearby. Lotsa eateries within walking distance too. Hotel lobby is very simple, just a reception counter. My “charm room” is spacious, very comfortable for me alone. Mattress is comfortable, the kind that I like, very firm mattress. Pillows are too soft for my liking. They do not have tea pot for you to boil water but they have water dispenser (warm, cold & hot) on each floor, a real plus point. They provide a flask in the room so that you can fill it up from the dispenser. Unfortunately they do not have hanger or enough hook for me to hang my clothes. They also mentioned that they do not provide room slippers so I brought mine from home but found out they have two pairs of disposable ones in the room. Definitely staying at this hotel again the next time I visit Taipei.

Great Hotel, staff was responsive and helpful, very modern and clean. Only thing to improve is breakfast as they don't have a restaurant and cooperate with the starbucks that is attached.

It's an old hotel remodeled to Retro theme. It portrays the ”Old Chinatown” vibe in the books. Some will say lobby is too dark, but it perfectly fits the theme. Considering the neighboring establishments like Bar and Lounges, Cafes, Local food stalls and restaurants, Spa and Massage parlours, Vagus Hotel is the best option you can get in Zhongshan District. Do not expect it to be luxurious and modern. Room is enough for couples. Bed is spring made, not cotton so you can say it's hard. Pillows are soft. Classic bathtub, no bidet toilet. Body wash, shampoo and conditioner provided. Free snacks and drinks. Overall, if you're looking for convenient location, affordable price hotel in Taipei, hip and artsy, you can consider Vagus Hotel.

it is a very outdated hotel to be considered 5 star. felt more like an average 4 star hotel. I guess its close proximity to Taipei main station gave it its legacy 5 star rating. also credits to housekeeping for regular daily cleaning of room. downsides: double bed was queen size. was really expecting a king size for a 5 star hotel. headboard above bed was extremely dusty to the touch, and led lights tend to flicker randomly. bathtub + shower is an outdated concept, small shower area to stand in the bathtub is so uncomfortable. furnishing generally looks outdated. worst of all, when all lights are switched off, only a creepy red light (probably from the smoke detector) remains lit right in front of the mirror facing the bed. makes you feel like something gonna jump out from the mirror. horrible experience. you're better off paying a similar price by finding a 4 star hotel which is 2-3 stops away from Taipei main station, potentially bigger rooms, a more comfortable bed and newer fittings.

Our family had an amazing stay at Tango Hotel Taipei Linsen during the long December break in 2024. The location is unbeatable, with plenty of great cafes and restaurants just a short walk away. Though slightly more expensive than the other Linsen hotels - the cost is well justified. The rooms were modern, clean, spacious, and comfortable, making it a perfect base to explore the city. Highly recommended!

The hotel is practically connected to the whole Taipei main station (HSR+Taiwan Rail+Airport Rail+Metro Blue Line and Red Line+Bus Terminal) and there is no need to open an umbrella to get from any of those to the hotel. The Q Square Mall is complete with everything you need and Ningxia Night Market is within 15 mins walking distance.  The decor is excellent and the service is great!!!

Hotel is not new but they maintain the service well, location not too far from exit Z4 (with lift), the hotel is located above Mc donald (same building) my stay was quite comfortable, the staff is kindly she give amenities like toothbrush, comb when i arrived in the hotel, the room itself is clean even though it's small room, I stayed in the Fashion Double room

Regent is a 5-star hotel with great service and good location in Zhongshan District in Taipei. Price wise is a bit on the high side but the hotel service is top notch. There is also a small shopping gallery inside the hotel with shops selling luxury products such as LV and Chanel. There is live music at the cafe inside the hotel too. The rooms are big and bed is comfortable. Breakfast is great with big variety of cuisine to choose from. Location is about 10-15mins walk to Zhongshan MRT train station. Nearby has many shops which is convenient.

Lobby: is next to the 7-11 convenience store where you can buy your food & drink all the time. Location: not too far from Beimen metro station its walking distance around 5-10 minutes and at Beimen metro station it connect with the Metro Shopping Mall where you can find all the figure models. Only one station ti Ximending walking street (metro green line). Room size: is very small, if you are single traveler is fine but if you're couple it not comfortable because bed size is queen size. Service: All staff is friendly and helpful.
