We had 6 people total so had two rooms and one room was in the newly built part of the building and the other one was in the old building. Room in the new building is much cleaner and lights are brighter. Room in old building lights are much deemer and bathroom is too old. No bottle of water, they provide water dispencer in every floor. Worst soap I ever smelled in any of the hotels. The receptionist who checked us in was very unclear with her question because we had two rooms and originally booked one family room with one king bed and 2 single beds and other room with a king bed. She asked whether 2 beds are ok and I thought she meant for the king bed as she finished with a sentence saying the king bedroom needs to be checked in later. So when we went up to the family room, I see 2 beds instead of my original request, went down to ask why and she gave me an attitude saying “didnt I ask whether 2 beds are ok” I was actually shocked with the way she approached me, did not try to clarify in a nice manner. Sorry but never going back. The photo is for the room in new building. Even if the room (new building) is clean if the service is bad, I never want to go back.

I went to Taiwan on May Day and stayed in the newly opened Capella Hotel in Taipei for two nights. I would like to share my experience with you.
The hardware environment of the hotel is first-class. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I could feel Capella's consistent high-end aesthetics and quality standards. The reception hall on the 14th floor is grand and stylish. The living room has both check-in and lounge functions. Whether it is checking in, meeting guests or resting, it is very decent. The atmosphere is full and the details are luxurious. The breakfast is great, worthy of the standard of a luxury hotel. Finally, after Tokyo Park Hyatt, I saw a hotel breakfast with blueberry and strawberry, which directly added points. Capella breakfast includes champagne. It was champagne oysters early in the morning. I felt a little dizzy~ Taiwan's local specialty breakfast includes egg pancakes, beef noodles and porridge. The iced latte is unexpectedly delicious. Taiwan's beverages are really amazing!
However, this stay experience was not satisfactory in terms of software services. It may be because it was newly opened. The room service response speed was extremely slow. When you need something urgently, you often have to wait for a long time, which affects your mood. Because of government regulations, the room is not equipped with any disposable toiletries. Although it is understandable, it always feels like the policy is used to prevaricate the service. When you actually check in, you need a shower cap and toothpaste, and you have to call again and again... The service response is slow, which is somewhat inconsistent with Capella's high-end positioning.
What makes me most dissatisfied and worried is the problem of the swimming pool. The hotel has only one outdoor swimming pool on the 14th floor. My husband went to swim at 8:30 in the morning and returned to the room with severe discomfort. His heart rate soared to 160 and he didn't recover all day. The reason is that the water temperature of the swimming pool is too high, which has exceeded the normal body temperature of 37 degrees. This is not swimming but soaking in a hot spring, but there is no lifeguard in the swimming pool, which poses a great safety hazard. The communication with the foreign manager was fruitless, and he only kept saying: ”Thank you for your advice and provide us with valuable advice~ Our lifeguard only starts work at 8:30.” Shouldn't there be lifeguards when the swimming pool is open?
There is no display of key information such as water temperature, water acidity and alkalinity, and water monitoring report of the day next to the swimming pool. Guests cannot understand the water quality and water temperature of the swimming pool and it is difficult to use it with peace of mind.
In general, the hardware environment of Capella Taipei is indeed excellent, but many problems with software services affect the overall stay experience.

The location of the hotel is not very convenient. It is still a little far from Taipei Arena MRT. If you bring children, it is more convenient to call a taxi.
The hotel is relatively new and has its own design style. The ID design of the restaurant is also very interesting. However, breakfast will be charged if the child is 6 years old. Other hotel restaurants will charge for children over 7 years old. There are not many choices and changes for breakfast. hotel around are many restaurants and 711. It is actually okay not to eat in the restaurant, outside are more choices.
The hotel staff are quit friendly and polite.
The bedding in the hotel room is very comfortable, the room and bed size are very spacious, and the room is cleaned every day.
Taiwan does not provide disposable toothpaste and toothbrushes, so you need to bring your own toiletries.

Location!! Location! I really enjoy and love this location to stay at Citi Suites. However, the important thing is service and employees that are awesome. Judy, Iris and other two men are perfect helping and very friendly. Wishing I could stay longer than that. I strongly recommend to people to stay here and visit Raohe Night Market. Also, this property is very close MRT station. Definitely come back and book this hotel again.

The overall experience is good. This Mandarin Oriental's setting overall feels a bit small in terms of lobby waiting area. Feels like it's separated into many different parts. Room layout is nice. Water pressure is very strong. Breakfast is good. Gym facilities are not the newest but sufficient for a decent workout.

Booked the room with balcony, absolutely gorgeous view especially at night. Room is big and comfortable and clean. It's located in a quiet area jus beside the 河滨公园。but if you go over to the other side of the building, Raohe night market is just round the corner. Super convenient and definitely can feed your night market snacks cravings. (recommend u to walk thru the alley for shortcut to the night market). Very close walk to Songshan MRT Station. For those who wants a bigger room and quieter area, good to book here. My friends and I had a very pleasant stay. The lobby area also have a pa try area where you can get free coffee.

Not the best hotel in the area but the room is clean and staff are friendly. The location is excellent with public transport nearby. It's opposite to the night market where plenty of things to see and eat in the evening. It's also very safe for solo traveler. The room price is reasonable too. This hotel is quite busy with group travellers in and out and is a popular place for tourists.

Outstanding
GGuest UserStaff is pleasant, but definitely way easier to communicate in mandarin than English.
We requested for vegan options during our stay when booking - the hotel replied they will do ensure vegan options for us. However, during our stay, they told us vegan is only what’s available at the spread, and it was very obvious it was not a lot…in short, we figured it out ourselves instead: plain congee + pan fried cabbage, fruits and some salad greens. Hot food/tea break availability are nuts, fruits, salsa, nacho. We were ok with the options but felt a budget hotel had better veg options and our request during booking was simply lip service designed to make us feel like we will have vegan options.
The first night, we could not sleep at all as they turned on the heater. It was really terrible. Windows cannot be opened so we requested for a fan as a last resort at 1am but could not sleep at all due to the warm room. Raising it to concierge in the morning, the staff wanted to send a technician to check our room. But the manager rushed over, and told us instead they turned on central conditioning as a heater at night for guests and there was nothing wrong with the room. They will instead leave a note for the night shift not to turn on heater for our second night and to turn on the aircon instead. We could finally fall asleep as it was slightly cooler. What an odd option for the hotel to make the rooms warmer which really ruined our sleep - in our travels, this is our first time encountering a hotel making the environment warmer.
Plus side: Location of hotel is really good as it’s right in front of the station exit.

SSonja27I would have happily given the hotel 5 stars because the room and common areas were all clean. Linens were clean. Breakfast was okay if you’re into Chinese healthy food. I found the bed a little hard, though. I have stayed in similar price range hotels in Taipei with really comfy beds.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay and I would still recommend this hotel.

RRichard.KHotel is at ground level of building. Nearest MRT would be 300m from hotel. Buffet breakfast is simple but great. Soundproofing is great as well. From hotel window, you can see Taipei 101, reachable 40min by walking 2.9km

JJytwxVery clean and pretty new hotel. I’m very particular about cleanliness haha. They are located in the middle of the night market, which only comes alive at night. Love that its a 7 mins walk to the nearest MRT. Bed was rather comfy too. Would recommend to those who wants a bang for their buck!

AAnonymous UserI stayed here to go see the fireworks from Taipei 101. The women at the reception were all very friendly and nice. After the fireworks, the subway was very crowded so I walked home, but it was over 30 minutes as the road was in a pedestrian zone and there were a lot of people walking around, but it was an enjoyable walk! I was very happy to receive a New Year's gift of wine and beer. The building itself is old, but the toilets have washlets and the rooms are spacious, so it was a very satisfying stay. Thank you!

SSasanA Comfortable Stay in the Heart of Taipei
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Guide hotel taipei bade during my visit to Taipei, and I must say it was a delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were friendly, professional, and eager to make my stay as comfortable as possible.
Location: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The hotel's location is somewhere in the middle. It’s 15mins away from Taipei 101, Raohe night market, and ximending. It's situated in the bustling area of Bade which is full of great restaurants and convenient public transportation options. There are many other popular landmarks are just a short ride awayeithur by train or bus making it easy to explore the city.
Room: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
My room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the amenities I needed, including a comfortable bed, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV. The bathroom was modern and well-maintained, with a powerful shower and all necessary toiletries.
Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The service was exceptional. The front desk staff were always polite and willing to assist with any requests, whether it was for directions or local recommendations. The housekeeping staff did a great job keeping the room clean and fresh during my stay.
Amenities: ⭐⭐⭐
The hotel offers few amenities, but its all good.
Value for Money: ⭐⭐ ⭐ ⭐
Overall, I found the hotel to be a great value for the price, considering the location and level of service. While it wasn't the cheapest option in Taipei, it offered excellent quality and comfort.
Conclusion:
I highly recommend Guide hotel taipei bade to anyone visiting Taipei especially those attending conferences in TAINEX or Nanggang area. Whether you're in the city for business or leisure, this hotel offers a fantastic base to explore all the wonders Taipei has to offer. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip.

大大港板Not too far in the Little Arena. Quarantine is a convenience store, convenient for shopping. There is a lift on the 4th floor and there are only a few stairs in front of the door. No WeChat ID was provided. I arrived early and it took a while to find my boss for inquiries. The boss is also considerate to let you put your luggage in early. awesome.
Not ideal is that the electric system in the bathroom is too close to the shower, and I am very worried about the safety of leakage. It is recommended to remove the electric system. . I like the design atmosphere very much.
