Hotels near Wuling Farm, Taichung

An exceptional place to enjoy the high mountains of Taiwan and the atmosphere of old times. We lived in a place full of history and enjoyed the well preserved guest house and most caring service. The surrounding gives large variety of well prepared hikes. We enjoyed the time so much :-))

I spent two nights at Hoshinoya Guguan in a Feng room. The hotel was accommodating, converting the beds from three singles to a king and a single for us. Regrettably, despite its stunning location in the mountains, the resort doesn’t justify its high rates. I’ve visited other hot springs resorts, and, unfortunately, Hoshinoya Guguan doesn’t measure up. Additionally, there’s ongoing construction nearby, which is incredibly loud. The noise from the banging and machines disrupted the peaceful setting, forcing us to stay indoors rather than enjoying the outdoors. For those interested in the onsen, it’s worth noting that the public hot spring is open only from 6-10 a.m. and 4-10 p.m. It closes for cleaning daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., which seems impractical. Ideally, cleaning would occur overnight to not disrupt daytime use. The dining options are quite limited. Dinner at the restaurant was underwhelming with bland food, and the courses arrived too quickly, making us feel rushed. Breakfast is available from 7-9:30 a.m. and lunch from 12-2 p.m., offering narrow time frames for meals and very limited menu options. Missing the breakfast window means waiting until noon to eat. We were glad that we opted out of the meal plan. Our room spanned two floors, with the convenience of having the toilet on the same level as the bed. This is helpful for nighttime visits, though I was surprised that a room at this price point didn’t have a toilet on both floors. An automatic light and toilet seat are thoughtful touches, but the brightness of the light at 3 a.m. can be jarring. Adjustable lighting would be an improvement. The beds were comfortable, but the room lacked effective blackout blinds, letting in early morning sunlight. Additionally, an illuminated exit sign and a bright red ceiling light contributed to a less-than-dark sleeping environment. The resort provides pajamas and lounge wear, but the quality is disappointing. Our set had missing buttons and ties, and replacements were similarly damaged. A ‘mini-bar’ with complimentary beer, Coca-Cola, Sprite, coffee, and tea is included. However, given the cost of the stay, these offerings seem basic. Complimentary snacks or fruit would enhance the value. The staff at Hoshinoya Guguan is exceptional—friendly and helpful. Yet, the facilities, dining, and overall value fall short. In summary, the experience doesn’t live up to the price. Significant improvements are necessary to justify the cost.

Excellent service. They offer free rides between hotel and the nearest bus terminal. We got a slightly early check in and a free upgrade to the latest renovated family room. Food was clearly stated as vegan/vegetarian or not, very vegan-friendly. Spas in the bathroom were very clean. Toilet flushed down well(which was a problem I was concerned whenever I stayed in Taiwan). Beds for two were king-sized beds. Both the bedroom and the bathroom were very spacious. The down side about the spa area is that there is not much to do there. Although it was a 1.5 hour bus trip from Feng Yuan, I think it worthed a night there if you are looking for doing nothing.

Visited again, it is as clean as ever, the hot spring is comfortable and the room is tidy. Parking is a bit inconvenient. There is no parking lot and there is nothing to walk around. Suitable for couples. Breakfast is OK. 600 per person. Dinner is a bit expensive.

We checked in at 2pm and the front desk staff said that the originally booked room would not be handed over until 17:00. So elevate the room to us. But the hot spring pool in the elevated room went from two to a large pool.We can also soak as a family of three together.Changed the gameplay! I don't know if it's good or bad! The spring water is very good, no negative reviews. But in the morning I wanted to soak again and found that the spring water was not hot enough as last night.The towel was a bit old and should have been updated!

Temporary decision to come to Guguan hot springs near the holiday hotel is full, but you can also book this hotel. The price is cheap. Don't stay compared to the novel hotel with high prices nearby. We stayed in the 2821 family room. The space in the room is not large. The equipment is old but does not affect the use of the room. There is also a stone bathing pool in the noodle stream. It is not bad. There are also two pools of public bathing pools on the first floor. The water quality is not bad. The weather is cold and soaking. It is quite comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is mainly Chinese, but it is quite satisfactory.

From the entrance of the lobby, the hotel counter, the dining, all the service staff are very warm reception, the room is also very new after renovation, you can also take a bath in the bathroom, sleep is comfortable, the facilities are also good, and there are people next to help watch, You can stay in the hotel all day. This family tour, everyone is good. In short, I will visit again in the future, and I will recommend it to friends and everyone.

The room is small but nicely furnished. Everything is new and my room has a good view of the traffic rotary. It is conveniently located next to the main strain station. Finding the hotel building is a different story. The hotel name and the name on Google Maps don't match and the locals don't seem to know it. To walk to the hotel (3-5 minutes), I have to walk past scores of homeless elderly people sleeping around the station. I wish the city government to do more to help the poor. During my stay, I may have experienced an earthquake from the aftershocks of the April earthquake. I went back to sleep...

The hotel location is very convenient, right beside the Taichung Train Station. When we were there, there was a nice Christmas market beside. But the area also have quite a few homeless people sleeping around, just be careful where you step when you are out and about the area. The hotel room is fine but there's a cigarette smell in the toilet for the time we were there. The hotel is great for family with kids since they have a playground inside. We loved that they have a laundry room in the basement for us to wash and dry our clothes (20 twd for 30 mins wash, 20 twd for 40 mins dry).

I had a wonderful stay at this hostel! The location near Taichung Station was perfect, and the shared room was clean and private. The common area was spacious and cozy, offering breathtaking views of Taichung. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and scenic stay in Taichung.
