Stayed in a double room - Swedish room, no foot mat in the bathroom
There is no bedside table to put your phone, and there is no place to hang a clothes hanger in the room.
The bed is very soft and comfortable. The sound insulation from the window is not good on the road.
The route around Mazu is very good (you can see Mazu passing by outside the window)

Pros: The hotel is in a good location, with convenient transportation. There is a parking lot, a supermarket opposite, and snacks nearby. The room for 4 people is large enough, and the bathroom space is also large! New TV, more channels; new air conditioner is cool enough!
Disadvantages: Some of the equipment in the room are old, but acceptable. The refrigerator won't freeze! The sound insulation is not good, you can hear people walking upstairs and the sound of water in the shower. Only the bathroom has a mirror!
Suggestions: install a larger mirror in the room, replace the refrigerator, and replace the fragrance bottles.

Very satisfied with the stay experience
1. The location is very close to the night market
2. Whether you are driving or riding a bicycle, there is a large parking lot at your door.
3. The boss is very enthusiastic and you can ask any questions you have.
4. I stayed in a mixed room for 8 people. The room was tidy and smell-free. Each bed was assigned a small locker. I think this is very thoughtful. Otherwise, it would be troublesome for me to carry so much cash. The air conditioner is very cold. All beds have curtains for privacy
5. There is no musty smell in the bathroom, and the water volume is very sufficient. The water pressure can wash away the fatigue of a day's travel, and the water is super hot (super refreshing)
6. There are many toilets, so you don’t have to queue up to defecate.
7. There is an outdoor seating area which is very chill.

At 2100, there was only one person left at the counter. There was a problem with the room. When I called the counter, no one answered. I had to go downstairs to inquire, only to find out that there was only one person at the counter. He had just answered inquiries from outside bookers, leaving no extra manpower to answer other calls.

NNGJHGClean is small but super clean and comfy. Breakfast choice was good and changed every day throughout the entire 3 days of stay. The additional plus point would be the free laundry room at Ground Floor which you can wash for your clothes and dry them free. Staffs are polite and kind to assist you with any enquires that you have. All in all, a pleasant stay at City Inn Hotel (Taichung) and would return again for the same hotel the next trip.
Lastly kudos to staff - Emma who has helped to maintain the cleanliness of Room 701 throughout the entire 3 days. Appreciate your effort. Thank you 😊

GGuest UserThe staff were friendly and check-in experience was good. I left my luggage a day before my stay and they safe keep for me in their office. I booked a double room and room size was big enough and cosy. No bottles of drink water in room but can get warm/cold water from dispense at common area. Breakfast, don't expect to get many varieties, but enough to fill your stomach. Although it said bf starts at 7am, when I was there at that time, staff still preparing. Location is just a short walk to fourth credit union, also 10mins to train station.

GGuest UserThere's a lot that I like about this hotel. Our room was nice and large for the price. The decor in our room was beautiful, especially the wooden furniture. The toiletries by Cha Tzu Tang are the best! The location was great for us, being near or very near to useful bus lines. I would love to see more fresh fruit in the breakfast buffet. I would *really* like it if they have black coffee as an option in the room. (Inhouse Hotel Grand: If you're reading this, please can we have black coffee in the rooms that we can make for ourselves?)

The only fly in the oin**ent is that I don’t know if the partitions are not soundproofed. The sound in the corridor is acceptable, but the speech next door can be heard very clearly. You will always hear the speech next door when you sleep😅

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is located quite a distance away from the TRA station and shopping malls but bus stops are within walking distance. Buses to Nantou is located right beside the hotel, suitable for tourists making a trip to Sun Moon Lake or Qingjing Farm etc. Breakfast is not bad with some variety. There is also a vending machine with food and drinks for convenience and free coffee/tea available 24/7. Coin laundry is also available but doesn't have a timer.

GGuest UserI booked a triple room for myself as I wanted a bigger room but was given a 4 ppl room with 2 double beds. Very helpful n efficient check in staff who did everything from checking n fixing the musty smell in my room n showing me how to take the buses. Great location w bus stops for local buses n buses to other cities right outside, n great local food just around the corner. There’s also a small outlet mall n Taichung park within 5 min walk. Very modern deco. Only downside is no fridge in room n no proper room makeup. Overall, great place!

Hhoo7749You can walk or take a bus from Taichung Station (several buses can get off at Renai Hospital Station). It is a very convenient hotel. The space is not big but the staff is very clean and comfortable. It will be a priority for your next trip to Taichung. Next to it, the Yanagawa Christmas lights decoration has been completed, but the waterfront landscape trail will not be opened until December 15.

GGuest UserI knew this hotel through the introduction of a TV program a long time ago. I always wanted to find a chance to go out and play. I stayed in 1969 by the way, but I couldn't find a travel companion or arrange a suitable time. I finally made a successful visit at the beginning of this month. The hotel as a whole did not disappoint me, but it was quite satisfactory! But because this time I live in a classic room type, I want to try the star room next time if I have time to visit on weekdays.
