It would be my 1st review and 1st booking with Trip.com, and I am pleased it was such a memorable stay at Anya Resort. The resort was so relaxing, and I loved the amenities, especially the swimming pool; it was a heated pool even if you swim at night. Also, all the staff is very accommodating wherever you go if day sees you they don't hesitate to greet you. It was a pleasure that they gave us an exclusive breakfast buffet in Anya Elite Club Lounge even though we are not an Elite member in the club lounge. My fiance and I enjoyed staying at the hotel. Anya Resort is one of the best resorts we've visited so far. We're planning to come back again soon. Before I end this review, thanks again for all the complementaries you've given us.
Thank you, Trip and Anya Resort.

I was staying for two nights in Tagaytay for a bit of a rest and to check out the Alternative Summer Capital of the Philippines as a possible place for retirement: Baguio is the official summer capital, but is a long drive north from Manila. The hotel has a good location on top of a ridge with views of Taal Lake and there is a shopping mall with restaurants on the other side of the road: best access is via pedestrian bridge, as the road is very busy. There are plenty of other restaurants within walking distance on both sides of the road. My room had two double beds (which was different I guess…lol) and an ensuite. The bed was comfortable enough, but there were brackets at the base (presumably for connecting another bed) which were savage ankle traps when returning from a nocturnal trip to the bathroom: I was rolling around in agony and probably exhausted my considerable vocabulary of swear words…hope there was no-one in the room next door! The bathroom was very average and the shower head / bottom spout setup was of a type I’d not encountered before: if you want to use the shower head you have to grab the nozzle of the bottom spout, then pull and twist. It was apparently faulty as after two tries they replaced the entire bottom spout, but it was still very difficult to use. The free WIFI was almost non-existent: I could not get a signal in my room and the only way to get a signal was to either stand in the doorway of my room, or sit at the table in the corridor…and speaking of the corridors, has anyone seen the movie The Shining? The corridors had an eery feeling and other reviews have made similar comments about being reminded of that film…lol The hotel was clean and pleasant enough, but a bit dated and could do with a refurbishment. I was entitled to free breakfasts for which I was grateful…local dishes, so it may not suit some Western tastes. There was a swimming pool, but it was too cold and windy to use. Staff were great!

Overall experience was excellent. I really appreciate the staffs especially the receptionist or lobby area. They are very accommodating, lively and kindness.
The Baker J breakfast was delicious but the juice and coffee has nothing special. The price is also expensive.
I think the only thing I didn't like is the location, because there's no beautiful view near at the hotel and even tourist spots are too far but still the place was good. Thanks!

My last visit was 2 years ago.. and yesterday I tried it again (Sept 11-12) When we arrived the room is not yet ready and waited for 20 mins before releasing the room. The FO duty gave me the WIFI password for 2 devices only. while waiting we already connected to the wifi however when we arrived at the room the signal is so week and no internet connection. We called assistance, the IT officer went to our room and check.. He offered other wifi connection but still not working.. He went to our room thrice but the connection is not FIXED. I am telling you dis cuz ito din nagig problem ko from last stay ko.. And ngayon di pa padin nag babago, walang improvement. Second, BOTTLED WATER. WOW. I am also working sa hotel pero ang tubig is libre kahit gaano kadami ang hingin.. my bayad man ang tubig pero un is kung ung branded talaga na bottled water. 500 ml na summit is 15 pesos lang... So namahalan ako.. ginawa ko nag padeliver nalang ako. Third, Last day.. I ask the FOA if possible for late check out. 1PM lang naman.. Ang sagot lang nya sakin is ... Ay Maam, hindi ko po alam tatanong ko lang po sa Supervisor. But nung time na un is sya palang naak duty so sabi ko babalikan ko nalang sya.. So, Over all.. I think, NEED ng staffs nyo ng training on how to answer queries.complain, concern ng guets.. Okay naman ung hotel nyo sana kaso if ganon ang staffs nyo pumapangit ang Image.

We stayed at the hotel to attend a wedding a few minutes away. Hotel staff were generally friendly and helpful. The welcome is warm, though the individual standing guard at the gate could be a little more friendly. The hotel property is spacious and has a great view of the Taal lake, with the obligatory IG fixture on their lawn. It's obvious that the staff has experience in taking photographs of people and the scenery. Parking is ample, but not shaded. So the sun does beat down on vehicles. Best to keep the windows slightly open to let out the hot cabin air out. The hotel room is well equipped. Clean and functional. Room is well appointed. The pushbutton curtain is a welcome detail. Half finished renovations have marred the view from the balcony, but if doesn't totally ruin the overall experience. Noise suppression is a problem, as you can hear echoes from the lobby quite easily. The card receptacle was either disconnected or not working, as it did not shut off the electronics when the card is removed. TV viewing is juggling with two separate remotes instead of a universal one. No compendium in the room. Bathroom is clean and equipped with amenities. The Bathtub drain mechanism though needs to be attended to. Hot water is not as much as desired, but it does serve its purpose. WIFI in the room and around the hotel are not the greatest, for casual surfing and social media postings it's ok. Breakfast was ok, with the usual fair you find at other hotel properties. Pancakes could be better. The offerings didn't feature much local specialties. It would be good if the coffee is what Batangas was famous for. Sugar substitutes also would be nice. Waitstaff seems to not have a common theme in terms of uniform. At least they were prompt and present went needed, not dragging their feet when working. Unused furniture cluttered the corners of the dining space, making the audio equipment near the open gangway painfully out of place. The pool is beautiful. Not temperature controlled, but placed well enough to be under the sun most of the time. Not much space to go sunbathing. Clean towels are provided. Even though it's not a deep pool to begin with, there is a 'lifeguard' on duty. he could be a little more cheerful and approachable. Bathers though are in full view of the dining guests. So expect to be observed by the people inside in case you have a shapely figure. Safety signs are not that obvious. The Rules and Regulations poster could do with an update. It would be nice if the room had a compilation of literature that would recommend places to go to, places to eat nearby. A local map even. The hotel needs to clean up in terms of polish.

We spent a night here due to a nearby wedding. This was one of the few hotels with 2-bedroom options for our big family (6 in total). The good: great staff, especially front desk breakfast was really good, no bacon but it's not a luxury hotel. location is unbeatable with a supermarket and good selection of restaurants downstairs and across the street less than 5 minutes from sky ranch, good place to take the kids Room is large, plenty of space, beds were firm and quite good. Great view from the balconies looking out to the lake/volcano free parking in front and under the hotel Hotel has fantastic entry and exit points from the main road the meh: - The AC in the master's bedroom was blowing probably 25C air. Staff went up to check and the first one insisted that it was cold. The rest of the unit was doing 19-20C. That room you can immediately tell was NOT. We had to call the front desk again for it to be checked and after 2 more trips they finally figured the AC condenser was broken and it needed a freon recharge. By evening the room was getting cold. For a big repair they did it quite quick so kudos to them still. - The room had a stove and a kitchen but ZERO kitchen utensils. No spoons, forks, plates or even glasses. Not to mention no cooking equipment. What was the stove for? There was a microwave though, and the ref was working well. - There was a TV and a cable box, but no cable service until 9am the morning of our departure. I know this isn't the hotel's fault, but it's worth noting that providers in the area might not be reliable. Service was out for an entire day! Also, only the master's bedroom had a cable box, the living room did not. It was just a TV with no connections whatsoever. - The water pressure of the bathroom bidet is terrible, with no way to adjust - Hotel has free internet but limited to first three devices. So our family of six was half with and half without. The stay wasn't terrible by any means. We'll most likely return here in the future, given the room's size, but we'll probably be better prepared the next time.

Second time to stay because my son likes this place so much. Infinity pool overlooks Taal volcano, though not heated which can be a challenge since it ia generally cold in Ta***tay. Staff service is excellent. Lobby is spacious and rooms are accessible via elevator. Check in/out are reasonably fast. Room is reasonably proportioned but my one complaint is the very poor lighting inside that you cannot even see yourself properly in the mirror. They also skimp a bit on toiletries. Shampoos/shower gels are placed in containers which can be easily accessed so if previous guests are unkempt its contents may be questionable. No in-room dining but hotel is close to many restaurants and there is Grab food/Food panda available at night so this was fine.

✅ we went there via commute, the place is accessible and easy to find. ✅ staff are friendly and attentive ✅ hair dryer by request ✅ we tried the other resto, bella ciao, a bit pricey but at least their food was decent. ❎ very small room. feels like im staying at a motel. i requested for a room with balcony. the balcony was very small and has a view of i dont know how to describe it. ❎ the hotel resto, organico gourmet, is meh . we ate there upon checking in, my bbq tasted ok and tender. but on the other order, meat was very hard. there are items on the menu that were not available. the coffee is just sad. oh God why!? ❎ a father and son was stucked at the elevator when there was a power outage. they have a generator but i didnt feel the sense of urgency to help them get out of the elevator asap. i felt sorry for them esp for the toddler as he seemed traumatized by what happened and he kept on crying ❎ pool was small and not heated (considering it's location) but it was ok. until it got very crowded because it is shared with the tenants from the residential area (some rented it out as guests). i hope you do something about it. may be have a different pool exclusive for hotel guests only. shower area was far from the pool, doesn't have any written directions as to where it was. so some just went straight into the pool without showering first. it was also very slippery, so i suggest you put something on the floor to prevent accidents. the area behind the glass of the pool was very dirty . not enough resting area or tables and chairs where we can put our things. ❎ since there was no towel exclusive for pool use, we had to bring our towel from our room. i called front desk to ask for a new towel since the other one was soaked already because we used it to dry ourselves from the pool. they are charging 50pesos for an extra towel. i mean really? overall, it was a bit expensive hotel but the experience didn't match the price. sorry but i will never go back and will not recommend it to anyone.

Outstanding
GGboy MunsayacOverall experience was great and meaningful. First, the staff were all accommodating. From the reception down to the room service attendants, everyone always greeted you with a smile and you can feel the positive disposition. The room was kept very orderly and my special request was granted. They did come up with a nicely done birthday themed decoration for my partner and kid. The complimentary cupcake with greeting was a really nice gesture. This hotel had a huge area that featured facilities to cater to different interests. I like the thought of visiting and feeding the animals at the Farm and the outdoor playground provided a good spot for my little daughter to run around and explore nature. There was an indoor playground too, which was very useful because it also rained the next day and we couldn't afford to expose my kid to the weather. There were 2 pool areas, and I like the thought of the kiddie pools with heaters, since the cold breeze was giving us the shivers. My little one was able to enjoy the dip in the water (also props to the staff who helped inflate the pool toy :)) The buffet breakfast didn't have that many selections, however, the quality of the food was superb. I like their Filipino breakfast lineup of chicken adobo, tocino, danggit and fried rice. The salad bar was also pretty decent with their selections of garnish and dressing.
In other words, I wouldn't mind a second visit. Highly recommended!
GGuest UserWe reserved last year of June 2023 here to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary. Supposedly to renew our vows in Tagaytay. But the Church and reception did not reply. Only this hotel replied and i adjusted my reservation because we wont be able to continue our renewal. We would like to consume the downpayment made in this hotel. Last year, no second thoughts i wanted here to have my prenup. The place is so beautiful and romantic. The staff are accommodating. We where upgraded to a Premier Rooom with balcony. The stay has plated breakfast you should try the longanisa. They have a small cute chapel we had pur short prayer to thank the Lord in having our 10th Year Wedding Anniversary. All in all this hotel is so memorable to us.
RRobert MerleThis is a very nice hotel with very courteous, friendly, and professional staff. We ate at the hotel several times. The food is good. The prices are reasonable. The breakfast is buffet on weekends and Filipino/American selection on weekdays.
We left a few days early because it was rainy (not the hotel's problem, obviously) though we did go on a driving tour and a boat trip around the lake, which was a little expensive but enjoyable.
GGuest UserWe booked our overnight stay at the last minute (since our usual go-to places in Tagaytay were fully booked) and we didn’t regret it. Got the family suite for our family of eight (includes three kids below 10 years) and it was good for all of us. The hotel staff, especially Mike, the manager, and Norman were very kind and accommodating. They briefed us well and gave us lots of tips so we didn’t mind it at all that there was limited service after 10pm. Room and interiors of the hotel are very creatively designed - actually inspired us to recycle wine bottles and cardboard into home decor. Location worked for us too - it’s not along the busy main road of Tagaytay but very near the highway. It gave us a semblance of being hidden away which we liked very much. It’s also right behind Aozora, the popular Jap resto in Tagaytay, so that was a big plus (easy access to great food). We’re quite happy with our serendipitous find and we’d gladly return with more friends and family. Thank you to the team of Containers by Eco Hotels!
GGuest UserBooked a room on the third floor, it was a bit hard to go up, the room pillars were a bit too much, the height was a bit short, the tall people were easy to hit their heads, the health was quite clean, the big terrace was very good, it was also booked for the terrace, a little disappointing It was a few days to rain every day, and the experience was a bit discounted. It’s cold, oh yes, I went to New Year’s Eve with my friends, I didn’t book a room on New Year’s Day 😂
GGuest Userused to be called the bali village hotel, the new name is more apt and trendy. we stayed here for 5D/4N for a workshop conducted by our agency. we were billeted in rooms situated in north and south wings. ours was in south wing with defective electronic lock and so we were provided with a key to manually open it. our room smells nice, well lit, speedy internet connectivity, good bathroom amenities but lacks hooks inside to hang our towel & clothes. food was adequate and tastes alright. enough to actually bust our hunger and thirst. no hot tea, though. only coffee was the hot beverage available. parking was ample and the rich vegetation served as natural fence that protects trespassers from reaching in. swimming pool was not enticing enough to make us swim. nice ambiance, though.
Our family rented three rooms overnight. Rated 4 stars as it delivers what it promises. Rooms are super basic and clean - room 1 has a strong air con unit. And a TV. some rooms have cute bunk beds. Turn the electric water heater pointer to the floor for warm water throughout your shower. Godsend. There’s a restaurant on site and a McDo down the street plus mushroom burger that everyone seems to make a deal about. Spend your money on experience and keep accommodations cheap.
AAddai DarkoThe hotel is nice and in good location, but the towel is not good at all, I will advise you bring your towel.
Besides that, everything is good and nice.
AA. BibiIt was amazing! I love the place I booked to stay. Extremely pleased with the location. Highly recommended. Its a corner villa and it was very quiet and peaceful. The care taker was a lady called Chorna and its gated so you can be assured of the security.the security guards were very good. It is safe, its a peaceful heaven. I will definitely be back. Thank you and well done to Hampton Villa. The cleanliness of the place is great and it's a true get away. The 2 bedder villa was fully furnished too.
