Boutique hotel, British style. The rooms and restaurants have a wonderful view, the valley filled with greenery, the elm trees blooming on the top of the tree, the birds rising from the sky, the colorful clouds.

First of all, I am very satisfied with the place. It is in Huntervalley, surrounded by vineyards and wineries, and the air is so good. The whole person is fresh and đśď¸energetic, and there are cows braying at night, which makes me feel like I'm in a fairyland! Overflowing with happiness! Especially worth coming to see.

The hotel is located in a historic site and is very classically decorated. The attitude of the staff is very friendlyďżź, and there is live piano performance in the evening. The breakfast quality is high and there are many choices. The hotel can see the sunrise of the Blue Mountains, highly recommended! ďżźThe only thing to note is that the hotel does not have a lift!

Jamie provided us with the best greeting we have ever had at check-in. He was warm and friendly on arrival and asked us did we know the area and were we looking for anything in particular. He then took the time to highlight the specific locations on a map that would be ideal for our photographic adventure.
We arrived in the early evening and Jamie had the heater on in our room and the lights on for us and this was greatly appreciated on a cold Katoomba evening.
The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable,
The large bathroom was recently renovated with plenty of hot water in the shower.
We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and fully intend to do so in the future.

We didnât have any expectations and just booked whatever what came first in the search for a hotel in Blue Mointains so we were really surprised with how much offer this hotel has! A lot of offered activities for both adults and kids - thereâs a cinema, a mini ranch, an arcade room (we really enjoyed playing the walking dead), swimming pool, ice skating rink, etc. We were quite surprised in a good way! :)

Beautiful property. Stunning gardens. Very friendly staff. Spacious family twin rooms. Awesome breakfast. Breakfast/restaurant staff must be commended on their hospitality. They were very sensitive to our religious diet needs and approached us on their own to accommodate our needs. Absolutely amazing. Huge thank you.

GGuest UserBlue Mountains YHA is located close to the train and incredible bush walks. I took a school group of 14 Duke of Edinburgh students and they all loved the experience. Clean rooms, spacious lounge with a fire and great communal kitchen. We used the outdoor BBQ to cook burgers. All supplies easily purchased from the supermarket next door. We were even treated to a special breakfast on our first morning. I will definitely be back!
GGuest UserBooked this hotel because of the convenience of transportation. It is close to the train station, and the departure station of the red double-decker bus No. 1 to the Blue Mountains is also across the road from the hotel. (see last picture)
This is a hotel with a long history, and the facilities have a sense of history. For example, the door of the elevator is an iron door that needs to be closed by itself, and it can only seat up to four adults. The hotel's restaurant, reception room, and library are all very historical and cultural. I've seen too many horror movies, don't live if you're afraid of this style.
The rooms are clean with high ceilings. It's just that it's an antique hotel style that everyone didn't see much before. My room has a wardrobe and a bright mirror facing half of the bed. It's hard to say.
Buffet breakfast is bread fruit and milk. Single than the average hotel. If you want to eat better, order your own food.
The aunt at the front desk of the hotel was quite enthusiastic. We checked out and went to the Blue Mountains to play and told us not to worry, play slowly, and the luggage will be looked after for us. Then.... didn't give any luggage storage receipt, just let us go... It's more primitive, but the people are very hospitable. When she came back in the afternoon to pick up her luggage, she greeted her warmly as soon as she entered the door. Maybe there are no other Asian guests in the whole hotel. Finally, I would like to add that most of the guests of this hotel are middle-aged and elderly tourists, mainly Australians. Young friends don't like this style of detour.
GGuest UserA little disappointed. On arrival room ac did not work. Had to get hotel staff to clean the filter which was full of dust.
There was a stale smell from the carpet, so had to leave patio door open for first 30 minutes each time we arrived. We did not create a fuss since we were only there for 2 nights.
There were all the all the things like microwave, toaster, etc. The location is good with walking distance to restaurants etc.
This is a quiet gem just off the main road in Laura. It is exactly as described and full of character as you should expect from a genuine period property. Now look, there will always be those picky soles who find offence at a bit of faded curtain, or a stair tread that squeaks, and alright so it doesnât offer breakfast or have an a la carte restaurant which is the only reason I canât give this delightful house a 5th star. A huge plus is the fact they have true double beds, not two singles pushed together. I cannot tell you here how many times Iâve lost a leg down the gap in the middle of a supposed double bed. But, Laura House has the real thing, a firm double bed, a four poster if you choose, as we did the largest room on the first floor ( room number 3). Itâs the bay window room. The water in the shower and bath is immediate, wonderfully hot and fast flowing. The rooms are spacious, clean and the welcome very warm. If you havenât been to the area before, then know that Laura is the more chic side of Katoomba, just across o very small valley. The shops start about 400m from Laura House and feature a wide range of eateries, up beat clothing and accessory shops and the like. Most have survived the ravages of Covid and so welcome new visitors with unbridled enthusiasm and pride for their businesses. So to for Laura House. The parking is secure, the garden clearly set for families to chat and mingle or for a couple to slip away and settle on the garden sofa. Itâs familiar, friendly and a little bit tired, think of Laura House as you would that wonderful elderly aunt that has so many stories to tell, doesnât mind the children and lets you settle in a quiet space at the end of the day without constantly hassling you to plump up the cushions. Would I stay here again, you bet we will, and the same room so we can enjoy that four poster bed with a really clean white muslin drape overhead, which would have been the first sign of fatigue, instead it is clean, well loved and that really sums up this family run establishment. So if you want a quiet base just off the beaten track give them a call, they donât bite !
GGuest UserThe room was beautiful and well cut. It was very clean and wonderfully preheated.
Although we arrived before the reception end, the reception was unsafe and the conversation via a communication button was very unfriendly. When a pronounced, loud persistent peifton for about 2 1/2 hours all the hotel floated, despite multiple contacts with this button, a solution to this very unfriendly problem was rejected. The room was beautiful as I said, but the way to deal with guests was impossible.
Therefore, we would not stay there anymore.
JJISHIYAThe hotel is located on the edge of the town centre, ten minutes walk from the train station, and the surrounding supermarkets and restaurants are complete. The facilities are old but the overall decoration is still very retro and the staff are very welcoming. Breakfast is very common Australian food and not very tasty, but still acceptable.
WWENZHEThis motel is in a good location, very close to Leura town and the Three Sisters Peak, but the only bad place is that all the rooms are on the side of the road, there is a big van at night, which is quite affecting sleep. It is not recommended to stay here with sleep problems. This hotel does not need to pay a deposit. After booking online, you can check in directly. The hotel facilities are quite complete. There is air conditioning, hot water and not cold at night. The facilities are relatively old, basically have not been renovated in more than ten years. However, 100 knives a night is still very cost-effective
GGuest UserThe room is relatively small, but the scenery is really beautiful. The layout of the lobby and the hotel has a Chinese classical charm, a fusion of Chinese and Western, and the colors are very beautiful. Breakfast is also very healthy. You can try the afternoon tea and stay there if you have the chance.
This old world charm hotel is authentic in many ways. From the beautiful stained glass windows, the three fireplace common rooms and the mix and match furniture scattered throughout the hotel. Staff are friendly, location is equidistant between Katoomba station and Echo Point which is very convenient as a base for lots of options. Our twin room was no exception of an old world charm hotel. Effectively two rooms with a bathroom off the room furtherest from the door. This makes sense if one of you is more susceptible to night time bathroom visits. Stay comes with complimentary breakfast, so wise up to travel booking sites that tries to sell you breakfast. Visited in a peak travel period during FIFA world cup so prices were higher. The cute hotel bar is only open to 6pm - unfortunately didn't use it but would have if it was open till 7pm. Guest parking was full but plenty of available street parking.
I stayed here several decades ago, and it looks very much like little has changed to update it. This is both good and bad. The Clarendon is a traditional place to stay in Katoomba, and is very old-school. This is not a place for those wanting the latest in trends and styles and a high-end experience. I think of it as being like a comfortable pair of old shoes. Good points: (I stayed in the motel section) - one of the better value places to stay in the mountains - my room was clean and tidy and quiet. -nice sized TV for watching Friday night football - The staff were super-friendly. It was a pleasure to deal with them. - wi fi was good, and my the heating system did its job and kept me warm all night, despite it being bitterly cold outside. -comfortable bed. I slept well. -While I did not spend much time in the common areas, they did look interesting places to hang out. These things might need some attention: - a bit skimpy on bathroom toiletries and tea and coffee supplies. - consider putting a face cloth and hand towel in the rooms - the free breakfast is appreciated, but maybe a little more could be added to it (yoghurt or some pastries like croissants etc). -
