We stayed here 14 years ago, driving the garden route. We did so again this January. The historical buildings are beautiful; service was excellent as was breakfast, and the host was charming. The room and bathroom were large and very nicely appointed. All the staff were excellent. This description applies both to our visit 14 years ago and our visit just now. The owners have maintained standards notwithstanding the effect Covid would have had on their business for a couple of years.

De ontvangst was erg vriendelijk. Kregen een doekje om onze handen schoon te maken en een kopje thee. Er werd ook gevraagd hoe het met ons ging en waar we vandaan kwamen. Erg gastvrij. Daarna kregen we de sleutel van onze kamer en werden onze koffers gebracht. De kamer was zeer groot en alles was er. Koffie, thee en water. Tv was er ook. Bedden liggen heerlijk. Douche is top. Vijf sterren zijn echt op zijn plaats.

We had only one night, but would have loved to stay longer. It is a very beautiful place with lovely people and a wonderful breakfast! The only thing we regret is the very low toilet in the bathroom. We would have liked it to be higher (specialy for older people)

We stayed for one night this week, I have to say we will be back again it’s lovely. The property is very small with only 8 rooms all of which seem to be unique being part of the old buildings, ours had a thatched roof and was in the attic - very modern “boutiquey” inside but private and secluded with a little balcony. The grounds we’re impeccably kept a guy was even painting the walls when we where there, the staff were super friendly it felt like a family had welcomed us to stay. We had massages from their resident masseuse which were great, he has a lot of experience and a great personality. They organised dinner at a local place and a shuttle (2 minutes drive) back which saved us walking back up the hill. The best bit though was breakfast it has to be in the top three I’ve had in a hotel anywhere in the world - I won’t spoil the surprise for you but just enjoy We paid £120 for the night and the massages were about £35 per person - bargain!

Absolutely perfect stay from booking to check out. Spotlessly clean, well appointed and super comfy bedding. Great location close to town but still secluded. Don’t hesitate to book here.
