Beautiful B&B
Very nice B&B. Room was spacious and very nicely decorated. Properly was lovely. Gardens, pool, spa. There was a resident Zebra and a small herd of Springboks. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast delicious, many choices, both buffet and hot, fresh made. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful, quaint and private boutique hotel close to a nice restaurant. The breakfast was included with a buffet and a la carte choices. Would highly recommend.

We recently travelled along the garden route with my family and booked three rooms at this hotel. What a wonderful find it was. We were pleasantly greeted by Gustav on arrival and shown around the boutique hotel and grounds. We were then shown to our wonderful room which was spotlessly clean and nicely appointed. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had a peaceful nights sleep. In the morning were were greeted by a veritable feast of food and the staff were really helpful and friendly. Check out was smooth and our cars were oven washed for us, never had that before and a lovely touch. Shame we only had one night here as it was a really wonderful hotel.

Huge apartment in a boring town
We had the top floor apartment which was huge, comfortable and well equipped, if rather oddly decorated and furnished. Someone had a touch of the Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen , with little splashes of vibrant colour here and there. Lovely gardens with a zebra and some springbok in the paddock. Good breakfast with very nice waiting staff. But Swellendam is so dull, I wouldn’t recommend staying- you’ll be bored senseless after half a day.

Rothman Manor is superb with beautiful, clean rooms. Lovely grounds with lots of birds and wildlife at bottom of garden. Peaceful and relaxing. Definitely where we always try to come back to when visiting SA and Swellendam.

Top marks
Extremely accommodating regarding our unexpected late arrival to the property. Unfortunate our twin bed request was not honoured. All staff were brilliant. Breakfast and the setting was wonderful. Wish we had stayed longer.
