Mantra Crown Towers

From the moment I arrived this property disappointed. Arrival to see signs saying at reception that if you parked in the front of reception your car would be towed. Apparently there are signs on the other side of the driveway (which were covered by cars) that said you could park for 20 minutes. Instead I had to park down the road and hike back to check in and then claim my car park. The rooms was shabby, rundown and the bed was like a piece of timber laid over with very scratchy sheets. When I asked to be upgraded (and I was willing to pay), they did do that, but I was told because it was a strata title property "they - the Mantra" couldn't control what was in the room. I call BS on that - they've put their brand to that room, they should. I was moved two floors down for my second night, to get a slightly more comfortable bed, however the mattress still had lumps and bumps. The room was of the same vintage as the previous room (I'd say by the tiles somewhere in the 80's) but the room while tired, wasn't as shabby and unclean feeling as the first one. The customer service at reception was only ok. But the icing on the cake came when I was informed on departure that my $200 that is being held pending on my card, doesn't get released until 4 days after I had checked out. Good grief - they will know within a few short hours that I did not trash their trash rooms. Quite disgusting all round. Never ever going, back. In fact I won't be using Mantra ever again - this is the 3rd unsatisfactory experience with them, and shame on me for letting it happen again.

We had a neat time Reception staff nice but we didn’t need them much Room was tired and could hv been more modern , esp wth price we aid . Cleanliness was ok. Blankets we put on were def smelly and needed a wash. Tht was a shame as non of us wanted to hv them near our face Location fantastic and view awesome

Location is good and pools were tidy, that's it. However, the rooms were very poor... Curtains were broken. Carpet was thin and wearing thtough in places. Walls were scuffed up, chipped and in need of painting. Rooms were very dusty. Benches had been damaged and were poorly repaired. Aircon was stuck on high fan speed and noisy. Room smelt and took along time to air out. Rubbish, including biscuits and a car part were left in the kitchen cupboards. Wifi hardly worked and constantly dropped out, and was extremely slow. The photos on the website was of a much nicer room than inea given.
