My stay at this hotel was unfortunately disappointing. Problems started at reception. Although my booking was in German, the receptionist only spoke to me in English. I politely explained that I would prefer to speak German because my English is not good. Despite this, they continued to speak English until I emphasized that we are in Germany and it is important to communicate in German.
In addition, I had to re-fill all my details (name, email address, etc.) that I had already provided when booking via an app. In addition, the invoice I received from the hotel did not match the amount I had paid via the app. The hotel could not give me a satisfactory explanation or a correct invoice.
The biggest problem, however, was the noise. In the morning, I was woken up at 8:08 a.m. by extremely loud construction work with a drill directly above my room, even though it had been announced that the work would not start until 10 a.m. There was a notice about this in the hotel, but the information was simply incorrect.
I went to reception where I met a polite and friendly lady. She accepted my complaint but explained that nothing could be done about the situation. I was told to contact the manager, which in my opinion is not an adequate solution.
This kind of treatment of guests and these circumstances are completely inappropriate for a four-star hotel. In my opinion, this hotel does not deserve four stars.
