The hotel is in a prime location, it is beautiful and every detail is very well thought. Staff is lovely and very helpful (special mention to Bianca). Room was very comfortable and big, with a very nice ensuite bathroom. Very comfy mattress, and both ceiling fan and aircon to choose. The detail of having a hot/cold water dispenser for guests on every level is very handy and convenient. Breakfast is excellent, wide a wide range of freshly made options every morning. Would definitely recommend.

A very nice hotel with the feel of a Riad, right in the heart of the city center. We stayed in a beautiful room, with bathroom and air conditioning. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the welcome was very warm. This hotel is ideally located for walking around and discovering the city.

We spent the night at this beautiful hotel while we explored Stone Town. It's well located, nestled in the typical little streets, comfortable, and the breakfast is delicious. The decor is lovely, and the rooms were very spacious! Bianca was lovely to us. A great place to stay!

The lady in charge is super kind and smiling, she takes care of our comfort. The breakfasts were generous and varied, we really liked them and were looking forward to the next day! Nice room with large bathroom. Our downside was not having outside access and that the sheets and mattresses were very warm for the February temperature, which made the nights less comfortable. I think it would be easy for them to vary the sheets depending on the season.

The staff at Shaba accommodated our family when there was a mix up at another hotel we had booked. We were welcomed with a cool space to sit and welcomed cool drinks. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, the hotel was quaint and beautifully decorated. Our rooms were large with balcony looking over the rooftops of stone town. Walking distance to ferry and night market. Beds were very comfortable, air conditioned rooms with large ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was great. Great value for money, would highly recommend.

Clean hotel in the middle of the Stone Town
It is a colorful and safe place with smiling staff. The breakfast is generous. It is very nice that they have drinking water, also hot water and tea bags available throughout the day. AC works in the room, which is very helpful in the African heat. The only thing that Tanzanians cannot get right is plumbing. The shower in some rooms sprinkles water in all directions and leaks from the pipe junction. Otherwise, it is a good place to stay.
