The services and breakfast (including coffee) is very good! Staff here is friendly and helpful. All things are good, it just the separation of room and washroom/bath room may cause inconvenience.

It's a great experience. It's surrounded by scenic spots, but the small roads are a bit unsatisfactory. There are dirt roads, but the rest is pretty good.

Great location. The air conditioner was down for a day due to electricity shortage which was hard to bear the heat.

Quaint, the place is not too big, but quite distinctive.
The coffee in the legendary coffee hotel is average, mainly because it is too weak
The car can't reach you, so you need to walk for a while with your luggage, which is quite strenuous

Wir waren im Juli 2025 zu viert im Coffee House und sind absolut begeistert! Die Lage mitten in Stone Town ist perfekt – zentral, lebendig und doch ruhig genug, um zu entspannen. Das gesamte Personal war aussergewöhnlich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die wunderbaren Ladies im Service – sowohl im Hotel als auch im Café – die mit viel Engagement, Herzlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit dafür gesorgt haben, dass wir uns rundum wohlgefühlt haben. Auch Richard wird uns mit seiner aufgestellten und zuvorkommenden Art in bester Erinnerung bleiben! Das Essen war hervorragend – frisch, liebevoll zubereitet. Und der Kaffee? Einfach ausgezeichnet! Für Kaffeeliebhaber definitiv ein Muss. Ein weiteres Highlight ist die Dachterrasse: Der Rooftop bietet einen tollen Blick über die Dächer von Stone Town. Auch das Thema Sicherheit wurde ernst genommen – durch einen Nachtwächter fühlten wir uns jederzeit gut aufgehoben. Kurz gesagt: Wir können das Coffee House wärmstens empfehlen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Asante sana für diesen wunderbaren Aufenthalt!

Great breakfast with delicious coffee. We had the spiced coffee, yoghurt bowls and pancakes on the roof terrace. Perfect way to start the day. The roof terrace is spectacular with views of the city on comfy sofas. The staff are friendly and very helpful.
