The hotel is gorgeous and spacious, and a lot of cate had clearly been put into restoring this building. It’s pristine but still holds the magic of its past. The way they have preserved the room doors was a particularly special touch. The bistro food looks amazing and we had a lovely breakfast. The whole staff team was so kind and helpful, offering tips for places to explore even just around the hotel so we got to see cool corners we never would have otherwise. I haven’t been to the spa or taken the tour of the back building but will be back soon

The room was fairly spartan, but certainly a decent value for the price. It’s a pity they try to monetize everything. Check-in is at 4pm, but for an extra $25 you can check in an hour early, $50 for 2 hours early and $75 for 3 hours. This is ridiculous seeing that the hotel is nowhere near full. Breakfast for 2 for $35 sounds reasonable, but they specifically state that you get 1 cup of coffee, 1 juice and 1 menu item. Both of these things left a bad taste in my mouth.

Don't let the "conference center" scare you away. This historic property is managed in a 100% personal way. Lovely room, very comfortable, plus welcoming staff and bucolic grounds. Breakfast at the on-site café was as if my best friend were giving me a weekend treat. Local ingredients, cooked up just for me. My husband and I were traveling with 2 dogs and staff welcomed them as if the dogs were paying the bill. This was a great stay, at a hard to beat price. We pass through the region about once a year on cross country trips and will absolutely be back. If you come, take a minute to go up to the cupala. Read the history of the buildings. Do not even bother looking at a chain hotel.

We had a wonderful girls weekend at the Blackburn Inn. Amber made sure we were comfortable and all of our needs were met. She is absolutely amazing!! We keep coming back to stay at The Blackburn because of the unique atmosphere and the AMAZING service.

I had a wonderful stay at The Blackburn Inn while visiting family in Staunton. The hotel and surrounding grounds are so fascinating to see and walk around. My room was great! Bed was comfortable, AC worked great, and the shower was extremely nice. Everything was clean as well. Had breakfast once at the Second Draft Bar & Bistro located in the hotel. I was very satisfied with the service and quality of the food for a simple post run meal. For a final note, I have to say that all of the staff were extremely helpful. Shoutout to Amber and Kenny for helping make this a very awesome vacation! Score: 10/10 Will definitely stay again!

Cannot say enough good things about this place. The service was 10/10- Amber at check-in went above and beyond to take care of me when she knew I was having a rough day! Free room upgrade and free breakfast voucher… truly so kind. The rooms were dreamy and comfortable - the entire estate will blow your mind. I would stay again 10/10. Such a great experience.

Where do I begin they take your credit card and charge whatever they feel like. OK if you stay a couple nights . Possibly .we needed a couple weeks manager agreed to extended stay rate then at the end of out stay overcharged us close to 1000 dollars what?! And guess what they say sorry you didn't understand it varies?!!! We won't let you know ahead of time what you are being charged.? A nurse also had same thing happen to here with an extended stay . The weird part is they truly dont care. Disputing charges with our credit card

The hotel was perfect. With that old place air but with remodeling for our comfort inside. I loved the bathroom and the bathtub. The views from the hotel. Silence and tranquility. Everything clean and nice. I'll definitely be back. The only thing I would like them to add would be smart TVs to be able to enjoy apps and watch favorite movies or whatever we want.

Beautiful building and grounds. We had a lovely suite with an adorable sitting area, separate bedroom, and large bathroom with walk in shower. Bed was super comfortable and the throw blanket on the couch in the sitting area was a nice touch. Coffee from the in house restaurant was wonderful. A/C system in our room went out and had to be rebooted twice the first night by staff. Bathroom shower could definately be cleaner,pink slime in the corners. A female front office staff member first day was lovely and couldnt have tried harder to be helpful but the young man encountered at other times was not nearly so friendly. I reported to him that another guest seemed to have forgotten some of their luggage on a small table in the hall on the lower level and he didnt even thank me.
