Harrah’s Lake Tahoe – A Caesars Rewards Destination

I stayed here for a business trip and Harrah's was not quite up to par. The rooms had some really banged up furniture. There is no microwave to heat up food and the minifridge froze all my medication and food. The cigarette smell worked its way up to the 8th floor. The room itself was clean but the shared spaces werent. I wont be staying here again. I didnt expect much, but i was thoroughly disappointed.

Apparently basic room means old outdated furniture and paint peeling from the windows. Premium rooms may be in better care. Also enjoyed the pink sprinkles on the floor from the previous tenant in 1420. In need of an update and a vacuum that reaches under the bed.. I will say the Brew Brothers addition is a plus. The previous food court was blah. The smash burger at Brew Brothers is recommended.

I stayed at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe from 8/26–8/29 and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. On our first night, a fire alarm went off at 3:08am, forcing us to evacuate from the 14th floor. We spent about 15 minutes in the lobby before being told it was a false alarm caused by a faulty smoke detector. Elevators were down for nearly an hour, and security eventually directed us to climb 14 flights back up to our room — only for the elevators to start working as we arrived. The lack of communication and poor handling of the situation made it exhausting and stressful. We found out after the fact that aging infrastructure in the building was the cause of the alarm. Our room also had serious maintenance issues. The main bathroom had black mold in the shower and a bathtub façade that was broken and falling apart. We were offered “upgraded rooms” to move into, but they were actually downgrades at higher prices, so we stayed put. The property did provide partial compensation — a waived upgrade fee, half off the rack rate for the first night, and a $100 dining credit — but this fell short of addressing the disruption, health concerns, and the fact that we were celebrating a birthday that ended up being overshadowed by these problems. For the price and reputation of Harrah’s, I expected far better. The combination of safety concerns, room conditions, and inadequate follow-up made this a disappointing stay, and I would hesitate to return unless improvements are made.
