This is the best Japanese inn I've stayed in. I was very happy with the red bean rice cake soup I received when I checked in. I stayed for two days and had to try the Hida beef. The yakiniku and sukiyaki were both great. I don't know if it was because I ate too much for breakfast that I exposed my strength. The dinner on the second day was enough for two people, which was very satisfying. There is an open-air hot spring, which is very comfortable to soak in when it snows. The building is a bit old, but it is very comfortable to live in and the service is very good.
