"I booked a room in this hotel a couple of months before arrival so we still get the better price. We arrived almost midnight and greeted with a smile by Nikolas. Most of my request were fulfilled the first night, that is to have it on the higher floor, far from the elevator and facing the back yard / hills. Couldn't get our extra pillow the first night but they were there the next night on. The room is spacious and clean, so did the bathroom. The bed is huge but maybe a little too soft for us who are used to a firm mattress. The location is within walking distance to train/bus stations, mirabelle garden / palace, the river and old town. It also felt safe to walk in the evening. We did not have the breakfast nor tried the bar so we can't say much about them. One other good thing about the location, the bus stop is just about 100 m away from the hotel and you can take a bus (number 2) from airport and get off just in front of the Hotel. Very convenient !"

"The hotel was more conveniently located for public transportation (trolleybus) to Salzburg city center than I had expected. Many lines pass right in front of the hotel, and there is a large shopping mall and supermarket next door, where we could easily purchase groceries during our stay. Despite the hotel being very busy and crowded with guests, the staff at the reception desk and the breakfast restaurant were all friendly and attentive. The view from the hotel lobby was also very nice. One neutral point is that the hotel's entrance sign on Sterneckstrasse could be improved. We spent about two minutes walking around the building trying to find the entrance. Perhaps you could consider adding more signage or a clearer indication of where the entrance is? Unfortunately, I encountered some issues that overshadowed these positive aspects. Having had a very satisfying experience at a BW hotel in Bologna, Italy (which I hadn’t expected much from since it was just a one-night stay during a road trip, but everything from the breakfast to the bed and interior was fantastic), I had high expectations for this BW Plus hotel as well. Since I visited during a busy tourist season, I didn’t expect an early check-in and everything seemed fine until I entered the room in the evening. First, I found what appeared to be traces of a previous guest in the toilet—yes, a small spot of something brown. It was tiny, less than a quarter the size of a fingernail, but it was still noticeable. I have poor eyesight and often get scolded by my wife for not noticing things like this. I also noticed similar dried brown stains on the bathroom floor, which I assumed were the same thing. The showerhead had limescale and mold, which didn’t leave a good impression. These are issues that could be easily resolved with a bit of bleach, and I thought it would be nice if the housekeeping staff paid more attention to such details. The most disappointing thing was the pillow filling, which I’ll simply attach a photo of here. Many guests, especially those from Asia, praised the breakfast highly in Google reviews, so I had some expectations. However, having stayed at many hotels in Europe, I didn’t find it particularly special. In terms of taste, I would rate it around 70-80 out of 100. (To be specific, I would compare it to breakfast at other four-star hotels like the Grand Hotel International Prague or the Holiday Inn City in Düsseldorf) In conclusion, despite these issues, I still want to give the hotel a 4-star rating. This is because I was able to book a room just two weeks before my trip for a rate of around 150 euros per night, which is quite reasonable during peak season in this area. I am confident that with a little more attention to cleanliness and room hygiene, this hotel could quickly improve its customer satisfaction. Despite the concerns about hygiene, I was overall satisfied with my stay at this hotel. This review is written not as a criticism but as a form of encouragement. "Not in the city but just 10 minutes trip by bus route no. 1. It's convenient and the hotel gave us a mobility ticket that can take bus free of charge. No shops are close but a few restaurants which are quite good. The staff are nice and the bar in the lobby opens until 10pm. The hotel is full of art, even on the toilet cover and the carpet outside! Room size is ok. Have air-con but we just opened the window then the temperature is suitable for sleeping. It's 15°C outside at night. Like the shower room as it can be covered fully and no water is splitting out"
